Microsoft could just buy BlackBerry outright. It'd be pocket change for them.

Indeed.

These two just seem like they could be very complimentary companies in general.

I'm looking forward to the BB Mercury which will be released sometime next year.

If it and 2 other BB models next year do not sell well, it will likely be the end of BB hardware.
I use a BB Classic as a work phone for my company. Solid and reliable and an actual keyboard!

Its cheap and I really like it, but I get to have the best of both worlds because I also have an S6 as a personal phone.

For those of you that love the hub, Blackberry has released an app for Android. I figure I might give it a try on my personal phone. It is definitely the best feature of my work Blackberry.

So BB is going to stop making hardware, but the CEO suggests they will let others make hardware for them. It leaves hope that we'll still see an actual high quality keyboard on a smartphone.

Sure hope they get this right.

In a perfect world, Samsung buys the BB virtual keyboard and hub.

No one's virtual keyboard comes close to BB's when it comes to how intuitively it works. It's a shame that BB didn't realize where the smartphone market was headed before it was too late.

For work purposes, the hub was awesome. Just swipe over and all accounts are there, no matter what screen you are on.

Both of these make my BB the hands down winner for a work phone. But I see the writing on the wall and am beginning to resign myself to the fact that my next phone won't be one. I'm just hoping our IT and corporate phone people find a way for us to get some good Android devises, I shudder at the thought of getting stuck with an iPhone for work.

The Priv is a great phone that deserves to be way more popular than it is. But because it's a BlackBerry nobody gives it a second thought (or even a first one).

Naw, the Priv failed because it was way too expensive. Then you can add that it's a BlackBerry device and not very popular anymore.

I need the keyboard. I use my phone for 99% work related items.
