ALL ABOARD!
|
My son loves basketball so I want to take him to a Phoenix Suns game while we're in Arizona over Christmas. I'm thinking the Mavericks vs Suns on December 27th.
I haven't been to a NBA game since the 6th grade (1989).
Any advice on seat selection? I've got a non-court side budget of $500 or so. Any other tips on hotels close by?

No advice, but there's websites out there that you can view photos from a given seat so you can see what it looks like.
I've used it a few times now and it's been super useful!
i.e. https://aviewfrommyseat.com/team/Pho...tprint+Center/

What happens now? I have to go to court? How long does that take? Can I just pay at the registry or something. Surely they don't have court hearings for a $40 ticket do they?

Does that also tell me who will be sitting around me? I need to know that too.

We are going to the Clippers/Raptors game this weekend at the new Intuit Dome and I don't know what the ticket market is like for the Suns in comparison to the Clippers but it might be smart to wait until last minute for the secondary market to get desperate. The Clippers are not popular and I've been watching weekly as the prices decline. I'm buying my tickets either this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Is there a scrap yard of sorts for appliances here in Calgary ?
I need a small plastic part for my fridge and its a special order / 3-4 weeks delivery every where I call.
Looking for 1 of either of these

Did you try Amazon/eBay? I've replaced a couple things on my dishwasher via both. Just search via the part name you listed above. Both were just a couple days delivery.

Everything on Ebay ships from the US as well.
Hoping to address this on the weekend if possible.

Find the guys advertisng on kijiji that pick up used appliances and ask where they take them? Fridges have to go somewhere to have the freon removed before they can be recycled at the scrap metal place.

Have you tried Trail Appliances?
Hear me out...
You go there with your wife and kids, your wife's job is to deal with the salesman while your kids run around like lunatics creating a distraction.
All while you remove the parts you need from a floor model.
Thats the ticket!

Did you try Reliable Parts? They get stuff in pretty fast even if it's special order.

Anyone know a good bakery that does cakes with printed pictures, preferably in the north?

Ethical Appliance Recycling in the Foothills industrial. They have a warehouse full of appliance parts. Might be worth a shot.

Bliss & Co. did them at one point when they were on the corner of 10th and Northmount Dr - but I'm not sure if they do/did custom images; the one I picked up about a decade ago had a Disney Princess.
I see they've moved over to Brentwood Mall.
