If the league's not helping the Oilers keep their winning streak alive that should have been over long ago they're helping their other team not blow another game.

Those were two bad calls on the 3rd that cost the Flames dearly. Simply a fact.

But in the words of Lary Kuharich “we had the f***i g lead and lost the game”.

Coleman gets some bad luck from NHL for sure. Skate in Gm 5 vs the stupid oilers, the finger point glove touch (if it did touch) tonight. Unreal stuff

Any news on Pospisil? His injury means we are less likely to see Dube sat.

Dino. Trolls exist..

We're not going to get confessions and apologies by outing every single one we see.

It's Toronto after all. Second smallest doinks in the league to the no goods. It would be strange if there weren't drive bys

I would argue the same, with the way the rule is written, the player has to intentional may direct the puck to a teammate, or else it’s not “directing”.

The other condition is that the team gained an advantage, but it tipped into a spot that was a 50/50 of who was going to get it.

I’d argue that, according to the wording of the rules, there is a lot of gray area on whether that should be called.

Otherwise known as inconclusive.

But the act of the hand pass was clear
You are an idiot. You are going to tell me that Coleman purposely passed that with his glove to Oesterle? Whatever, Leaf fan.

I think the call was, and why it took so long to rule, was to figure if the puck hitting Coleman's hand, gave the Flames an advantage ("gain an advantage" as noted in the rulebook above) that they wouldn't have had if it didn't hit his glove.

Would the Flames have retained possession if it didn't hit his glove, and the play continued as is, basically...so they had to go forward with the replay to see what happened after it hit his glove.

The puck didn't move that much so it's probably a very borderline call to figure out if the ongoing play was affected or not by the puck hitting the glove. But then it turns into a war roomjudgement call and the Flames, especially vs the Leafs, aren't winning any ref or war room judgement calls.
