Orlov should have been in the box for the cheap shot on the delayed penalty call, but no, the NHL can't have one of their darling teams looking bad and had to help out

Fine line. Zadorov makes that hit a split second earlier and that puck doesnt land on Orlov's stick.
A forward taking a dumb penalty 185 feet away from your net is more culpable.

Yeah, refs could have had their choice of interference, cross checking, or boarding, but chose none of the above. But Bettman is in the building, so a Boston win is the only acceptable outcome.
