Joke is on ownership. That's who we actually hate.

How do you not say #### you Rutherford and #### you Acquilini. Unreal stuff. Good on Vancouver fans (for once!). It plays I guess given conversation with someone close to them. They don’t care as much as they should.

Kinda shameful they're asking those questions too. Media also has no mercy. Man's crying and they keep asking questions.

The Canucks are interesting because to me, they shouldn't be this bad at all. I think they actually have a pretty deep roster and Boudreau is a proven coach. Maybe it's just a bad fit between the coach and players, but it really seems like the problem isn't coaching or ability, but just the personalities in the locker room.

Vancouver sports media is a ####ing joke. It always has been. Brian Burke started a radio show just to shut these dweebs up. It's never gotten better. From gollum, to botchford, to sekeres. They're all trash and feed on negativity and bile. I hate it. I hate all of them. They detract from joy of the sport.

Is this situation similar to George Costanza working at PlayNow? They don't want to fire him because then they have to keep paying him. Are they trying to force him into resigning?

It's probably a mix of things. Not having a healthy, decent Demko in net all season is huge. If he was in net regularly playing the best he could that would be a massive difference. The offense has been inconsistent, but they have some nice pieces. The defense is pretty terribad though. All that considered, they should be better than they are, maybe not a playoff team but close.

Their D core is brutal and they have no goalies. Not ideal for success.

Demko having a poor start to the season and then getting injured totally tanked any chance they had to be good and replicate their play of last season under Boudreau.

It was a brilliant move by Treliving to sign Tanev. He was a lot more important to the Canucks’ success than I thought. Hughes is good, but he was better when he had a stable shut down RD stud next to his side. That’s what they’re missing.

Except it's not - the joke is on the fans.

The owners still own the team, and will continue to own the team. The fans are paying for tickets and still suffering through this garbage (over and over).

I'm not blaming the fans - it's a ####ty situation, created by the owners - but regardless, the joke is unequivocally on the fans.

I didn't see it that way.
It seemed more like they were asking from a place of empathy and appreciation of him.
Like you would of a player playing his last game before retirement.
The media here have all been blasting Rutherford in this situation & supporting Budreau.

I dont care about the Canucks one iota. They could be practicing at the rink and if the whole thing slid into the ocean with the team inside I couldnt care less.

However, if what appears to be the case is that the Organization doesnt want to be paying all these coaches who dont work for them anymore and dont want to fire Boudreau only to have to continue paying him as well as paying a replacement...if this case is true, and their solution is to make his life miserable and hope he quits?

Thats Constructive Dismissal and he'll sue the hell out of them for it. If they think paying his salary is bad then they sure as hell ain't going to like paying that settlement.

So...good luck with that. Ya idiots...
