The main source of insider info is agents. I don’t have a hard time at all believing that in his 25 years in the business Friedman has cultivated stronger relationships with agents than Weekes has in his 5 years as a hockey pundit.

Well here are some things I am not a fan of in Tkachuk: - An increase in the amount of diving lately
- Between the leg passes in the neutral zone
- Over doing it after the whistle
- Quitting on the team last season
- Talking a big game, and not showing up in the playoffs
He is a very good player, and a very valuable one at that, but he is not the complete 200' package you make him out to be. I found his production to be largely missing in games where Flames absolutely needed a come back, but that can be said of just about anyone last season.
Finally he is judged based on his contract, and he is paid like the best player on this team, but he clearly isn't. Next season he will get paid even more than that and then there's a chance he simply walks as a UFA.

It would never happen like this, but just for fun... let's imagine Eichel+Skinner+Thompson for Tkachuk+Monahan+Lucic. Buffalo retains 10% of Skinner's contract or something to make the dollars balance. That way we get Eichel without having to trade any picks/prospects.
