These players are professionals and should be ready. They aren't ready in too many games and it's costing us again this season. The 1 win in the last 15 season openers is another example.

The real answer?

Tank. Get a talented franchise player. Do the Flames even have a top twenty two-way first line? Second line?

Look at the dynamic gamebreaking talent of guys like MacKinnon, McDavid, Malkin, Eichel, Kopitar, Bergeron, Hischier, Crosby, Kuznetsov, Matthews, Barkov, Seguin, Point, Stamkos. Many teams have #2Cs better than our #1 - Backstrom, Tavares,

We need to tank. And this time not turn that draft pick into a #3LW with zero PP time.
