Wow, Friedman is really direct about Calgary needing to find a more reliable backup.

95% of this forum seems to have issues with Versteeg , so maybe you are the delusional one? You have a borderline obsession with Versteeg. I’m actually starting to think you are a close friend or family member.
That said, the problem is Gulutzan continuing to utilize Versteeg on the PP more so than Versteeg being a liability and they are just showing their frustration with it. Versteeg is a serviceable 4th liner who could step up if need be.

Bag skate that second pairing hard. Pathetic defense by them tonight.

I don't blame goal for much of them. Yes, it would be nice to have stolen some of those goals, but the D was horrible and didn't give the goalie much of a chance.

well this doesn't really feel like a 4 goal deficit game to me. Just a lot of unforced errors and stupid bounces, but I don't even feel they've played a particularly bad road game. Just one of those nights where nothing goes right.
seldomly watch games live this year and therefore generally stay out of GTs ... a bit shocked about "guy A sucks", "guy b is terrible/stupid/idiot" and so on. Not sure if certain users are even Flames fans with all the doom and gloom.

Boy, this panel is super hard on Lack. Not that I'm in love with him, but this seems extremely harsh.

Hoping for another couple gaudreau points and a decent sample from Gilles so that lack doesn't see the net next game.

Came to see if the game thread is a bigger trainwreck than the score. Leaving satisfied.
The same usual suspects home alone with chips and pop crapping all over every negative thing they can jump on posting incessantly about it like racking up points in a video game.
Some people's idea of a fun pass-time is perplexing to say the least.

Friedman mentioning Pickard. Smart man. Flames should have jumped on him when he was on waivers and then worried about getting rid of Lack after the fact.

I'm hoping that Hamonic's struggles are similar to when Hamilton first got here. Needs games to get comfortable but man! He's not been as advertised. Gulutzan needs better in game adjustments to these types of things.
However, it's a bad game after a string of good ones but there is a consistency that remains with things that aren't working. Gulutzan likes to give players opportunities to get it back together but maybe too much. I think he needs to coach a little more ruthlessly. Cameron just pisses me off

How many partners does Brodie need to find the right one? Remember all his partners last year supposedly bringing him down?
Time to realize this is just who he is. Mostly good but when he's bad oh is he bad and those bad games are happening way too frequently for a second pairing d man.

He’s not wrong. The team has zero swagger when he’s in net. Not all 5 were his fault but the team has zero confidence and plays tentatively/poorly when he’s in.

He's right though. Lack's not an NHL goaltender. The team hasn't played well tonight at all but Gillies has looked steadier and he's not ready to play in the NHL himself.

Dude you need to make some saves and not the ones that they directly shoot right at you. Yes the Defence has not helped but that is not NHL calibre goaltending.

Wideman had more offense even on a bad day than Hamonic.
Hamonic is just sort of there. Does very little one way or the other.

Brutal game. How many more like this before major changes are made? Coach? Trade a core piece? GM?
I vote for the coach, not because I pretend to have special hockey knowledge, but I just don't feel inspired by anything he says or does. Gimme Hartley any day.
