Kladno form and NHL form could be two different things. I expect Jagr will need 4-5 games at least to get up to his NHL form. I wouldn't expect magic out of the gate.
Incorrect. Magic will be his first interview and the first time he touches the puck in a game with a Flames jersey on.

I would say after having completed numerous transatlantic flights that Jagr is most likely to arrive in Calgary via Toronto or one of the large US hubs.
What kind of masochist are you to route your euro flights through Toronto when there are direct flights to European hubs? Connecting through Toronto should always be the last resort in life.

I encourage everyone to watch those highlight packs - yes, Jagr's slower than he was in 2011, but show me where he's out of position or chasing the play.
This is going to be so good.
PP1:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Jagr
Versteeg-Brodie
PP2:
Tkachuk-Backlund-Bennett
Gio-Dougie
Not to mention, given Jagr's affinity for muffins, I'm going to get to use this a lot.

@ReddawgHorizon
Heard the NHL has had 3K Flame @68Jagr jerseys ordered in 24 hours, not all for YYC, orders from all over the world. Apparently he's popular

They talked about this on the Fan today. If you average $275 a jersey you would need to sell just over 7000 to make back his 2M he can make this year. Puck hasn't dropped and they are half way there.

Don't know if the discussion went into this, but NHL merchandise sales is split among all 31 teams. Not sure about how that works for cresting, but the Flames don't pocket all the profits from Flames jerseys. So those economics don't work.
Back when the 2003/04 ones came out, there was a NHL merchandising rule where teams got full profits of their newly released jersey sales for the first month or two, and exempt from being part of the pool. Lots of US teams released third jerseys around Thanksgiving in time for US shopping season.
Regardless, it's an indication of how awesome people are feeling about having this guy at his age put on a Flames jersey. Amazing that a guy that was winning a Stanley Cup when I was in Grade 9, is still in the league and playing 26+ years later. Surreal.
I am sure 80% of these people have other Flames jerseys and would not have got the new Adidas template ones if not for Jagr...myself included (but am not included in the above number as the purchase was for a blank that's getting customized).

5. Jaromir Jagr’s Calgary bonuses involve games-played thresholds, with one minor exception. There is a two-parter that is not triggered unless Calgary makes the playoffs. I’m not 100 per cent certain as I write this, but he needs either 50 or 60 appearances (plus the post-season) to get that one. There are no statistical bonuses.
6. One Western Conference GM said Jagr ending up in the Pacific Division was a perfect fit because “its best teams aren’t that fast. It’s different than the rest of the league, more of a grind than a speed game. Even Edmonton, outside of McDavid, is not a fast team.” Would not be surprised to see Jagr start the season with Sam Bennett, hoping some of the future Hall of Famer’s karma rubs off on the young centre.

Just watching the video linked above from last year. Most of this goals are not off the rush, they are plays controlled in the offensive zone and he is just always in the right position. He is in the right spots, he doesn't need speed, most of the time he is just waiting for the other guys to do something and he pounces. So smart, this will work fine with Versteeg and Bennett on his line, they can do the hard work and he can finish. Clearly he is one of the best at that. He has adapted his game, since he isn't that fast but he can still definitely play. How can such a large guy be so open on some of those goals. It is awesome to watch and I can't wait to see this guy playing.
I am not so sure about his defensive ability, but we will see. So pumped. I would have a huge smile on my face as well if I were Bennett, man he must be so excited to get away from Brouwer, what a change in talent. Too bad we couldn't make this happen sooner.
