What do you mean by new? They've always done this when there's a threat of lightning.

Wow! What a hit. That has to be a big fine once the league reviews it. I don't know if the NFL has a suspension policy on hits like that but it certainly needs to be looked at by HQ.

Lifetime Suspension

That's a horrible, dirty, pathetic play by Trevathan. And the moron had the balls to chirp Rodgers after.

I hope the NFL can dish out a suspension for that despicable play. Clear intent to injure there. One of the ugliest hits I have seen in some time.

ESPN: "During the offseason, NFL owners approved suspensions for "egregious" hits, even on first offense. If anyone deserves it under that new rule, it's Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan for his dirty hit on Packers WR Davante Adams. I am shocked Trevathan was not ejected, but he will almost certainly be suspended."

I hope they follow through and suspend him. That hit just can't continue to happen in the sport. Player wrapped up and going nowhere and there's just no reason to lead with your helmet like that.

Should have been ejected last night but truth is a suspension hurts him more.

An NFL spokesman says the Danny Trevathan hit on Davante Adams is being reviewed for potential discipline.

Honestly that kind of blows my mind. Also speaks to how old those franchises are, the Bears must've completely dominated that series back in the day. I feel like almost every time I've watched a Pack/Bears game growing up, the Pack has won.

After 1991 and the year prior to Brett Favre arriving in Green Bay the record stood at
70-46-2 in Chicagos favor
and Chicago had outscored the Pack 2270 - 1898.
according to this website http://www.shrpsports.com/nfl/result.php
Since then GB has outscored the Bears 1252-886 and taken the lead in the series.
Quarterbacks really really really matter in the NFL...like...a LOT.
