Locke knows he can't betray Germany. Plus rooting for Bayern is a great hedge since it probably makes it more likely Liverpool wins since jinxes and all.

Oh man, what a win! Just watched it so I'm a bit behind the rest of you. The clean sheet was absolutely huge. One goal next week should put this thing away, barring a monumental collapse.

Mo's fine....

Quote:
Mohamed Salah was substituted with a suspected groin injury 52 minutes into Liverpool's visit from Manchester City on Wednesday.

Manager Jurgen Klopp said the Egyptian international will undergo further tests in the coming days to determine the damage.

However, Salah seemed upbeat about his chances of a swift recovery.

"After the game I asked him and he said, 'I will be good, it will be fine.' But now we have to wait for the real diagnosis, not Mo's self-diagnosis," Klopp said. "We will see, I don't know at the moment."

Not telling myself anything

Its all about the optics, the season could effectively be over in a week, and the two last parts of it would be going out of the cl to liverpool, and giving united any kind of satisfaction

People were going nuts about this being an all time team like 6 weeks ago, limping to a finish with the bad taste in their mouth of what this week could be wasnt the finish city expected

It becomes a "what could have been" season and that always feels disappointing, although not closing it out against United is nowhere near as bad as losing this tie will be.

And Xavi, and Iniesta, and Villa, and so on. I think any of us could have managed that team.

Not my line, but hilarious:

Not seen a scouser this excited over one leg since Paul McCartney met Heather Mills.

No. Any of us could not have.

He deserves credit for his achievements there just as he deserves credit for his achievements this season at city.

They might have choked away one game but that doesn't take away from the fact that he has assembled a helluva team and is a helluva manager.

Oh come on though! We just resoundingly hammered one of the best teams in Europe in their most important game of the season!

Scousers be feelin' good!

Yeah and it really is a great win for you guys, I just thought that was a funny line.

Salah has impressed me for sure. There were times earlier this year where I would've thought that he was "OK" and just having a good run, but he's been on fire lately and he really is good. I think we need to see whether he can consistently perform this way before grouping him with the elite players, but it's impressive.

Pep going for an 8-4 win based off the lineup. Certainly going for broke offensively.

When you look at that lineup, wouldn't be shocking to see Ederson basically halfway between his goal and the halfway line. Obviously a couple early goals for City would up the intensity considerably.
