GOMBs Model Show coming up this Saturday at the Chapelhow Legion (284-606 38 Ave NE). It runs from about 9-4 with a $2 entry. Come on out to see some cool builds.


This is my latest, and it's a do-over - I tried to encase the wreck of the Bismarck in resin a few years back and wasn't happy with it. So I tried it again with a larger kit and it went *slightly* better than before. Resin is a difficult medium and this one has fewer bubbles but the details of the ship are obscured. Nothing ventured nothing gained, I guess.

It was cardboard and expanding foam insulation. I carved it down with some tools. Once I painted it the texture of the insulation really worked to give a realistic impression of the peanut shell.
