Should be interesting! Biznasty has spoken a lot about his relationship with Tre on the podcast and how he owes it to him and Maloney for giving him a shot in the NHL.
Bill Guerin, Bill Armstrong and Doug Armstrong are the ones that spring to mind but I think there's a few more. Couple Assistant GM's too, I know Chris Snow was on a year or two ago and I think I remember a guy from Ottawa at some point too
I would appreciate some notes from the episode. Would someone who listens post a summary? I want to hear what Treliving had to say but the hosts outside of Bissonnette grate on me.
Are these live? Most podcasts are pre recorded so he won't have much insight on the waiver pick up if that's the case.
Pre recorded. Even if it was live, Spittin’ Chiclets doesn’t work that way. Most of the talk will probably be about Johnny leaving and the Tkachuk trade. With some talk about Biz and Treliving chatting about their time together with the Coyotes, I’m sure

Most likely. Spittin' Chiclets is awesome for its off-brand hockey interviews.
There is really never any vigorous speculation into moves and such, and they allow any guest they have on to speak candidly. Stoked to see what Treliving chats about!
Nice! How many GM's go on that show? I listen to every episode, and I can't recall any.
Love that BT will go on there.
Usually a couple a year

I've not been a big fan of Treliving but now the Weegar deal is done I have to give him major props for making the absolute best out of a bad situation that he in part created. It's pretty rare to see a GM pull a rabbit out of his hat in such dire circumstances. Time will tell how the Huberdeau, Kadri, and Weegar contracts turn out but I can't fault a GM for adding what appears to be an excellent threesome of players to offset the loss of the two best forwards on the team. Hopefully it pays off in the next four seasons so when the contracts maybe don't look so good we can look back and say it was worth it.

If you look at the roster this year it is Brad's team. He's drafted, signed or traded for these players (except Backlund). And it's a damn solid line up.

Given the economics of the league and the cap due to climb, are they really going to look that bad? Players like Weegar, Kadri and Huberdeau will likely all be making $1-2M more per year than they are on these deals very soon.
Age may be a factor with these deals, but given the talent level and skill, I doubt they turn into useless versions of themselves in the next 5 seasons.
