I can understand one punch to Stajan while he is down. It happens. I honestly didn't see any more after that so I don't know if Stajan was hit anymore. Iggy did it in a fight against Brouwer awhile ago I think. The fact that the Refs didn't rush to that after they went down is ridiculous.

To me the most obvious thing was Hamhuis third man in on Engelland and Dorsett. That was ridiculous. Everybody saw it. There was a fight going on and he rushed it. I don't know what Engelland did before that to garner so much attention, so maybe there was something to it. To me it just looked like Engelland found a willing dance partner and went for it.
Stajan took at least 2 or 3 punches while he was down. Not counting the forearm/elbow.

Apparently the ref told Hamhuis to help Dorsett. I kid you not.

Meanwhile the linesmen hold back Ferland/Bollig and let Richardson have his way with Stajan.

The best part about the end of game gong show is that it basically resets everything.

Who cares if we played like hot garbage last night. Who cares if we were lucky to get a split. Who cares if the top line has looked overwhelmed so far.

Home ice advantage is gone, we are coming home with the split. The intensity and bad blood is now where it should be.

This series starts Sunday.

Sound a lot like corrupted European government.

Is there another team in the league with more gutless, classless, pieces of **** than the the Canucks? I seriously hate them, with a passion. Especially Burrows.

I was talking to a Canucks fan who was saying "how can you not love Burrows, he puts up forty to fifty points a year" I used all my strength to, for one, not puke, but also, end the conversation there or we probably would have gotten into a fight immediately .

I'm still baffled as to what's going on with CBC, Lack and his father. I've never seen anything like it.

When did Lack become a star? And why should we care about his father? I can understand once but 10 or more times each game?

Losing Engelland will be a huge blow to us. Can Potter play more than 5 minutes a game?

Getting angry and vindictive about the cheap shots, suspensions, comments, Lack's dad, and Hughson is nice and all....but the Flames need to channel their energy into playing the game they can win with. This is not a team that wins by beating the other team up...it's a team that wins with their skating, energy and transitional play.

The first periods have been absolutely embarrassing so far. And not because they've been scored on, but because the complete late of energy. That might fly in the regular season, but it's inexcusable in the playoffs. It's times like this where Bouma and Byron could really come in handy...they might not score, but at least they play balls to the wall.

The first line needs to step their game up, or Hartley needs to find an alternative. If they are injured, then they should sit and let someone else have a shot...because outside of Gaudreau, they have done absolutely zilch.

We're extremely lucky to be 1-1 coming home. In game 3, this team better come out like they did against LA, or the rest of this series might be a short one.

Lines I'm thinking of:

Bennett - Monahan - Colborne
Gaudreau - Backlund - Jones
Raymond - Stajan - Hudler
Bollig - Jooris - Ferland

Sit Granlund. Possibly switch Jones and Hudler.

Watched the sky cam view on gamecenter.

Engelland and Dorsett cross check each other and then Engelland drops the gloves, but mostly just holds Dorsett. They don't start throwing until Richardson drops Stajan in the corner at which point he throws 3-4 haymakers while Stajan is on the ice.

Hamhuis looks over but continues in the corner on the other side of the ice.

Richardson throws Stajan down again and the number of punches thrown is obscured by the net but certainly caught on the net cam.

Hamhung rushes over as soon as Engelland throws down Dorsett, so if the ref said something to Hamhuis, it was from across the ice while there was a ref over there doing nothing.

He then rushed over and picks up Engelland at which point Dorsett also gets up and continues to grapple with Engelland.

They both throw down Engelland and Dorsett finally disengages for about 20 seconds, then skates back from about 10 feet away and initiates the second fight.

Yep, like I posted a few pages ago he was on screen for 38 seconds.

It may not seem like a lot... But in broadcasting terms its an eternity. I can check later but I bet Linden + Treliving/Burke got 5-10 seconds combined.

Its funny you mention that. I find it interesting that people are keying in on a potential Monahan injury, when Hudler is guy that I think is actually injured.

Also, people do realize this is all Rogers broadcasts now, right? The CBC has nothing to do with it anymore, other than airing the games.

Something is definitely wrong with Hudler and I'm betting is the arm he took two or three cross checks to. His passes and shots have been extremely weak.

A few things to note.

I cannot see the league bring going down unbalanced suspensions. It will just raise the temperature that much more.

If the referee really did call Hamhuis in, his playoff work has to be over because he is in over his head.

The emergence of Ferland. Wow. Our bottom 6 is really going to be something with him and Booms. The guy is a playoff performer.

We stole home ice. Saddledome will be rocking tomorrow. Team needs a boost of energy, they will get it from the crowd.

CBC should be ashamed of themselves. Hughson and Simpson, bad enough but expected really. This Lack Daddy nonsense, WTF?

Whatever it is I would rather have Raymond in right now than Hudler.

He's the worst player on the roster at this point.
