Can't help but feel like we need another couple to hit the back of the net in the 3rd. Need to stay on the gas peddle against the Ducks or they could even it up really quick.

Here's hoping Wideman can get to 50 points!

Depends entirely on the picks and prospects. I'm sure he tried.

Really hope the Flames can hang on in the 3rd. This team isn't used to playing with a lead, and hopefully it doesn't mess with their heads or their urgency level. They need to play the 3rd with the same intensity as if they were trailing.

I wonder if there are people who still think Wideman is a number 5 defenseman?

Unable to watch this game but just checked the score. Looks like Stajan and Gaudreau are ripping it up!
2 more for Johnny to hit 20 and just 5 more for Monahan's 30th.
Hope they can build on their lead in the 3rd. Sink the dirty Ducks!

NHL Public Relations @PR_NHL
Johnny Gaudreau (18-32—50) is the 1st to record 50 points as a rookie with @NHLFlames since Jarome Iginla (21-29—50 in 1996-97). #ANAvsCGY

Wow.

If Treliving and company can somehow snag a good defenceman or two this summer without losing much else....one word...LOOK OUT.

I think it's a decent time to think about the fact that with the Flames play and incredible comebacks over the past couple weeks, they're doing it without the NHL's Norris frontrunner, aka our captain and best player, and also without the highest draft pick in team history, who will in all likelihood be a star player.

Good lord.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG, does that, like, mean that Gaudreau is going to be better than Iginla! I'm, like, so totally going to start overreacting and start drawing comparisons every chance I get!!
