Best 2nd period the Flames have played in a while. Great PK, and the PP is looking much better. I think the Kings have arguably had the edge in play so far, but not by much. As we all know the Flames are at their best in the 3rd period, so let's hope they come out hard and earn the W.

I'll be honest I thought Regehr was close to the end whenCalgary traded him, and he also didn't look great in Buffalo, but he looks great after being reunited with Sutter in LA.

They have to play real hockey, though. The Bollig penalty was "vengeful beer league ref" bad.

Maybe it's just Glencross' skill set that allows him to seem to have higher hockey IQ but I hate Raymond on the PP. Might as well play Byron...he at least generates chances.

of all the Flames tonight JMO Jones has been completely invisible.
I don't even know when he is on the ice.

Raymond is effective when he uses his speed, finds open ice, and drives to the net. Lately he does none of those things. He goes straight up the boards, usually takes a heavy hit, and promptly turns the puck over. Just not making good decisions.

I don't disagree with that. Raymond has been struggling big time since coming back from injury.

He was good on the last shift, but yeah.
Oh, and I completly forgot him on my PP post (Granlund too). Either might be better than Raymond. But Hartleybis going with the practice units I guess.

Exactly. The Byron haters are getting annoying. Yes he blows a lot of prime scoring chances but he gets himself those chances with his speed and hard work. Sure as hell don't see anyone else getting those chances.
