I think that there's a lot of anger there, lets be honest, Hebdo was directly attacked, and a lot of people that worked there or were beloved were killed, its easy to see why they would cross the line, especially since they claim that nothing is sacred in the eyes of satire.

But I looked at that picture and there was a lot of underlying hate and rage in it, in otherwords they can't separate things that are happening now to the horrible violent act that happened to them.

They need to step back and take a breath to be honest, because that cartoon reminded me of something that an angry brain washed neo nazi youth would draw.

After the attacks on their offices, I'm pretty sure Charlie Hebdo has somewhat of an agenda against Islam, and don't really give a flying F who they offend in that community.

Is it right? No. Is it understandable to an extent? Yes.

It was always hate speech garbage, I found it ridiculous when people canonized them after the shooting last year.

They were canonized because it's ridiculous to be murdered for drawing offensive cartoons.

But they are allowed to say it. Hate speech or not that is their right.

So is a lot of the junk spewed by the Abrahamic Religions that they skewered.

Hebdo chose to fight their hate with words of their own. Got literally murdered for it and there is NO justifying that.

Not to mention the real targets of the cartoon were the rapists that terrorized Cologne. People have very short memories.

I find Charlie Hebdo's cartoons to be in extremely poor taste, no matter who the target, but they are only cartoons.

Again, someone with the artistic talent should make comics about the attack on their offices and plaster them all over their ####ing windows.

####ing scum.

What? No, the real target was named specifically as Alan Kurdi.

Not really. They're not trying to offend Alan Kurdi, they're trying to offend the culture.

Better that than actually attacking them over pictures.

No one deserves to die over a picture. No one. No matter how much you don't like it. How anyone can side with their attackers is barbaric to me. No cultural taboo should be so sacred that as a people we stop and say "Well killing them was bad, but..."

If you don't like what they're selling don't buy it. Tell your friends it is stupid. Tell your family it is stupid. If you're really vehemently against it, put out an ad saying it is stupid. But at the end of the day, remember it's just a picture, it won't kill you. It won't hurt you.

I didn't see anyone side with the attackers.

Pointing out Charlie Hebdo for what it is (a publication filled with racism and hate) doesn't mean that we agree with the attack on them or that they aren't free to say what they want. They certainly deserve to be called out and exposed as the racist xenophobes that they are though (and have always been). Hiding being "satire" doesn't make it any more tasteful.

I think they would love for someone to do that.

I'm just going to sit back and watch as they continue to make hypocrites of the "Je suis Charlie" fools.

Maybe, but I think seeing accurate caricatures of their dead friends being laughed at and made fun of in their own style might give them a bit of their own medicine.

If my child died and someone drew that cartoon about them I'd be inclined to beat that person to death. I don't have guns or access to any but I wouldn't rule out a bullet with their name on it.

Don't fool yourself, when people started justifying and making excuses for attacks that are unjustifiable and inexcusable they're siding with the attackers.

If they truly believe nothing is beyond satire then their medicine is just fine for them.

I hope someone takes the time to find out. If I had extra cash lying around I'd pay for a cartoonist to do it and then find some Parisian Redditer to go post them up.

What would this prove? What would it accomplish?
