The Ghoemshi report on Fifth Estate was well done. I thought it would be biased towards CBC (since it was made by CBC) but it actually made the senior execs within CBC look pretty bad

Oh yeah, it was very well liked. The show routinely attracted A list guests, and was well known internationally.

I had no idea he was this creepy. He's really ugly too...if he didn't have a show on TV he'd find it hard to get a date....maybe that's why he's so violent towards women. He's a bitter and creepy dude who craves power....of which he has none.

I'm in with the "Who is this guy?" crowd. Hadn't heard of him before this broke, so I was wondering what was going on, too. First I had heard of this guy was his facebook thing he posted to try to head it all off.

Talked to someone yesterday that went to York University the same time as Ghomeshi.

Said he had his own entourage way back then. Hung out at the Cafeteria a lot.

Ms. Groen’s e-mail also refers to another apparent discrepancy in Mr. Boyce’s version of events: that everyone questioned in the investigation said Mr. Ghomeshi had never harassed them, nor had they seen or heard of any inappropriate behaviour on his part. He insisted to the fifth estate that “We didn’t speak to everybody on the [Q] team, but I know we spoke to a number of people on the team.”

Yet as many as 16 employees who worked at Q last summer told the fifth estate no one ever approached them.

University of Western Ontario journalism students heard interning at Q was “off limits” over concerns about host Jian Ghomeshi’s “inappropriate” behaviour.

Kathryn Borel identified herself Tuesday as the colleague first quoted in an Oct. 26 Toronto Star article whose yawn at a 2007 staff meeting resulted in Ghomeshi allegedly saying:

“I want to hate f— you, to wake you up.”

Borel said she resigned from Q shortly after and moved to Los Angeles to build a new career.

“I was essentially forced to either leave the show or allow my boss to lay his hands on my body at his pleasure. But since then, no manager or executive who was complicit in creating or maintaining a workplace in which Ghomeshi was allowed to operate with impunity has lost his job, let alone apologized.”

Borel told Global News it never crossed her mind to go to police with her allegations.

“In 2010, after my experience of talking to my union rep–where I told him explicitly about Jian’s sexual improprieties towards me–then being redirected to my executive producer, who essentially told me the harassment was my problem to solve, it never even crossed my mind to go to the police,” she wrote in an email.

Former CBC star Jian Ghomeshi is facing three new sex-assault charges after three additional women have come forward, court heard Thursday.

Ghomeshi appeared in person at College Park court along with his lawyers. He did not make a comment to media.

Ghomeshi's next court appearance is Feb. 4.
