Bautista just raved about Acta after the last WBC. Monday is going to be a hell of a day in Blue Jay land as the trade will go through and I have a feeling the manager being announced is ever so close.
Anyone but Jim Tracy and I'm fine, but Manny Acta would make me giddy.

As I said before, I have no info, but I do believe Manny Acta is going to be the next manager of the Jays.

Jersey City has the powder blue's on for $59.
The girl there un-surprisingly said that Jays' stuff has been flying off the shelves.

A Jays jersey will be my next purchase. Bought a Lawrie jersey t-shirt in the summer. Any money I spend will be for Jays merchandise. NHL will not see a penny from me and that includes NHLCI.

I got a Bautista T for xmas last year... might have to get a jersey this year for the trip to Seattle.
Man I hope they're good this year, we've owned Safeco the last couple years with bad teams, can't imagine how fun it would be if they're in a pennant race.

This year's road trip in Seattle was a DISASTER. I am, however, confident that the Jays will take 2/3 in 2013. I'd love to see that new big screen LCD upgrade in Safeco and the outfield adjustments (make it less pitcher friendly) that the M's are planning for this offseason.
Going back to all this recent jersey talk, I'd like to pick up a red Canada Day specific jersey or a road/grey Jose Reyes #7 jersey soon...maybe in 2013 before the season begins or the inevitable Seattle roadtrip.

So much fun just having a mob of jays fans take over the stadium, result was almost secondary. Meant we owned the crowd but you're right they were not good on field this year there.
Best thing about baseball is that the opposing fans are generally so friendly, at least in Seattle. Other than a few USA USA chants everybody was super easy going.

Anyone else think that new Blue Jays jerseys will be 40% off as well once the trade is official and finalized? Or is this more of a clearout sale before xmas? Was wanting a new Reyes jersey, but will buy a Bautista/Lawrie authentic for 40% off if they aren't going to open up the savings to new jerseys. Too good of a deal to pass up!

Rogers has huge money but has always refused to spend it until now.
Lets hope our cable and internet bills do not increase

I bet it's only possible because Rogers class B shareholders have no voting rights. Otherwise they would be operated like MLSE where the Jays would be milked for maximum profit with little regard for the on field play.

Actually, in some ways, adding the payroll to the jays is a good investment. They have 30+ million people to draw from nation wide for their broadcasts. Viewership is only going to go up, as will merchandise, ticket sales, etc. etc.

I'm pretty sure it's a Black Friday deal that will probably expire at the end of this week so no Reyes unfortunately.
I have the same debate as you. I want an authentic (way better quality than the replicas now) and wanted to get Reyes but $100 discount might be too much to pass up.

Acta has not been offered the Jays manager job and will not be it sounds like. Dear lord please for the love of god don't let it be Jim Tracy.
AA press conference at 9:30 AM eastern tomorrow. No new players will be in attendance. Should be streamed on MLB.com
