Fergie got his boys in too

Foy and Clattenburg

3 easy points, you could play Rooney in a cast at CB and take the 3 points

the constant whining and complaining about refs here is sensational. Don't you guys get tired of it yourselves?

It could go both ways, you know. I could constantly argue that we lost the 20th title because of a ridiculous penalty to Newcastle last year. And I could constantly argue that we lost another title a few years ago when Chelsea beat us thanks to an obvious offside goal by Drogba ...

Because we all know what happened the last time Fergie's boy Clattenburg was at OT.

Right, it's always the refs.

You do bring up a valid point though with Rooney. I think he could be a BAUSS as a CB.

was a simple joke about Foy

I had said earlier the u12 Man United team would take 3 from Spurs at OT so the refs didn't really make me change that opinion

Does anyone know if the League Cup games are being broadcast in Canada at this point? I can't find anything online.

My love for this thread can't be described with just words. It's up there with the funny pictures/video ones for laughs it provides.

Should've been a yellow IMO, but Suarez should be sent off just for stepping on the pitch so it evened out.

As is so often the case in the EPL, it is not good enough to be better than Manchester United to win - you need to be significantly better, and even then your chances are 50/50.
And don't forget surviving Fergie Time!

it's actually both Wootton and Keane as CB today, with Vermijl on the right and Büttner on the left ... oh boy. Rooney is back!

Any new conspiracy theories for us today? I quite enjoy reading about them, as well as proving statements wrong with measurable facts.

And just like that referee Michael Oliver has scored for West Brom after taking out the knees of five Liverpool players...though the replays wont show any of this.

England should not recall Rio Ferdinand - Peter Shilton

Rio Ferdinand should not be recalled to the national side because his "time has gone", according to former England captain Peter Shilton.

England coach Roy Hodgson must weigh up his defensive options after John Terry's international retirement.

Shilton, England's most-capped player, said: "I don't feel Rio should come back. We have to look to the future."

Fabio Capello willing to appear at John Terry's FA hearing

Former England manager Fabio Capello is willing to testify on John Terry's behalf at the defender's Football Association hearing. Capello and his former assistant Franco Baldini, who was also prepared to travel to London, have provided statements instead of flying in.

Ryan Tunnicliffe's debut for Manchester United as a 77th-minute substitute in the 2-1 Capital One Cup win over Newcastle United won his father, Mick, a bet worth £10,000.

When the fledgling midfielder, now 19, was nine his father had placed the wager that his son would one day play for United, taking the odds of 100-1 with a £100 bet.

This was the same age Tunnicliffe had first been scouted by United and, though he had played league football while on loan at Peterborough United last season, his appearance at Old Trafford against Newcastle was his first for the Reds after progressing through the academy and then signing as a scholar.

His father was one of 46,358 at the game to see his bet come in.

I don't know how the FA justifies giving a 4 game suspension for racism when they clearly set the bar last year that it's 8

They must have borrowed Colin Campbell's wheel. I'm surprised they didnt give him a raise and a party hat.

I'm no JT apologist. I think he's vile, with the Wayne Bridge incident, among others.
I actually think the 4 is a little severe.

I say that due to reading reports that Suarez repeatedly used racist terms towards Evra, where as JT towards Anton, was a single insult, that was essentially repeating Anton's insult back to him verbaatim.

I'm ok with being debated with, just won't put in too much effort for him

1/2 the games but fined 5.5 times as much. Seems a bit strange to me as well.

BREAKING: John Terry 's lawyer leaves the FA hearing, the expert in racism claims said he is surprised by the verdict.
