I'd be interested to see a mock-up with the traditional flames red and yellow and white in the same design for comparison's sake.

yup those are the ones, it would be cool to see a vintage 3rd jersey like they had back in Atlanta with to A.

Yes except this time around the A stands for ALBERTA not ATLANTA.

I think it's time to retire the black, but stay away from the retros. Those are in the past. I'd like to see the current design with the retro colours. Maybe change some of the striping, and ditch the flags, an I think that would make a really nice set of unies.

I'd like to see a shoulder patch based on the calgary fire department logo on the side of the calgary fire trucks to tie in the fire department theme. Perhaps a C F H logo for Calgary Flames Hockey.

Please god no.
Can our team not have to pay homage to Canada, Alberta, the Fire Department, the local swim team, etc?
Can't we just have the Flaming C and some nice colors? Is that too much to ask?

I posted this earlier in the thread due to similar discussion.

The homage to Calgary Firefighters would actually be fitting, considering we're the Flames. Much better than plain old Alberta and Canadian flags. Plenty of teams use things that are simply associated with their team name or are the shape of a state. Vancouver has used Johnny Canuck, St.Louis has used horns, Bruins use a Bear, Phoenix and Dallas used state outlines, Columbus has used a bug and a hat, Florida with a palm tree, etc. Pretty much all of those tie in with the team on the same level as a FIREFIGHTERS patch would for the Calgary FLAMES (save for Vans). Do you just want it to be a bit of fire on the shoulder? Or something that represents the team name AND the city? A firefighters patch sound great to me.

If they went this way, I could see them going with more of a F C H logo...'Flames Hockey' surrounding the more central and prominent flaming C. The 'Flames Central Entertainment Venue' logo would be the starting point with an H added on the right. Not that I think it would look great....

I don't like the idea of paying "homage" to the Calgary Fire Department that obviously. But, changing up the striping to look like this might be cool while remaining subtle.

I'd like to see that with a rainbow patch on the shoulder. Can someone photoshop that in?

Flip the yellow and white on the bottom stripe. And correct your red.
