I want replacement refs. This is what greed gets ya... Bring a whole season of series down to one game and now one game turns on one call... what a joke.

You're still down by three.. would have been bases loaded 1 out....definitely no guarantees the way the Braves hit.

Unbelievable. I can't wait for MLBs canned response about how they support the umpire's call.

Terrible. Worst call since that walrus blew Detroit's perfect game.

Game under protest, what does this mean?

Something on the broadcast about playing the rest of the game in protest? Unbelievable that something like that can be blown...

Terrible. I'm speechless. This makes the "simultaneous catch" call in the STL-GB game look like pittance.

Man, I'm glad I'm not a Braves fan I can't even imagine the destruction I would have done to my television

I wondered what the NFL replacement refs were doing apparently the calling the Cards - Braves wildcard game.

Never saw a game under protest before, interesting. Either nothing changes, or the Braves momentum is gone.

Also a good buddy of mine is at the game, I'll try and post a fan's perspective of the on goings if I get a chance.

The ump calls an infield fly either simultaneous with or after the infield pulls off the ball.

They better change it. Simply the wrong call.

You have probably never played competitive baseball but Bases loaded - 1out is a #### ton different that runners on 2nd a 3rd and 2 outs. Mccan just walked.. now it should have been 6-4 , bases loaded 1 out.

Ahhh now see .. now it would just be 6-4 w/ 2outs..with the Prado coming to plate , who I believe had the Braves best average all season. I know he hit over.300 See why it was such a big difference?

Had no idea CP had such a good baseball following. This is the insanity of a 1 game playoff.
And sorry for going a few pages back, but Mike Trout deserves to win the MVP. Trout is better in almost every meanigful statistic and plays a much more important position. I like the Orioles tonight in the 2nd game. Even with the most overmatched pitching matchup possibly in playoff history

The run expectancy goes down a ton from bases load 1 out to 1st and 2nd and two out.

With the bases load and one out the run expectancy is 1.545. With 1st and 2nd and 2 out it drops down to .435. That's a major drop off

McCann walked only because first base was open

I know what you mean, it's a huge call but it doesn't cost the Braves a sure win which you were implying earlier.

but it also doesnt for sure put them down 3 runs in the bottom of the ninth. That call was like giving the Canucks two power plays on obvious dives by the Sedins in the final 5 minutes of the game when they were up by 2 goals
