Hey she's pretty good looking. If she pans out as a player she could be a huge star for Canada.

I thought women tennis players didn't have to be good if they were good looking? As long as she makes it the the tour and poses for some mags she will be a huge star for Canada

Being good looking can only help though. Maria Sharapova is a bigger star and has made more money than Serena Williams (though I suspect that has more to do with Serena's perceived bad attitude), but obviously doesn't have nearly as many majors. Fair or not, its the way it is.

Just ask Anna Kournikova....she never won a WTA singles tourny in her career.

She did reach 10 in the world I believe plus 1 Wimbledon Semifinal?

I'm surprised she didn't win one WTA tournament in Jabukistan or somewhere.

I did a profile on her a number of years ago. Her highest singles ranking was 8th in 2000. Yup, she made the '97 Wimbledon SF and the QF of the Aussie Open in the early 2000s.

No singles titles anywhere. She did win 16 doubles titles though, including two majors.

Nadal's pulled out of the Olympics. There will be no gold medal repeat. Federer has a chance to win double gold. I'm sure he'd love that singles gold medal more than anything.

I think Murray has a very good shot at gold. The crowd will be solidly behind him and he can stay at home and not in the athlete's village with the rest of them.

Murray would be an awfully boring guy in the Olympic Village.

True. I do think the Murray's will win gold in doubles. Andy is good for a medal in singles I would say.

And he can avoid all of the sex romps that happen in the athlete's village...according to Hope Solo.

You can't sex romp until your event is over which in tennis is never.

That's why you want to be in a sport like shooting. Get it out of the way on the first day.

I remember reading for the Games in Athens I think, that they handed out something like 10,000 condoms in the athletes village. Apparently it's just a gigantic bone fest.

Who says you can't participate in the bone-lympics until your event is done? I guess conventional wisdom says that would take away vital energy from your sport, but I saw a show on discovery or something where they informally tested this on a boxer, and his punching/lifting power didn't decrease.

Either way why would Murray take part in that when he has him some Kim Sears to soothe the daily grind from matches and training drills.

Bouchard is on a roll! At the Granby Challenger, she's beaten two seeds already. (6) Fichman and (2) Riske

http://tenismaclari.com/granby/120716/

(1) Dubois is still in is as well, I hope they meet in the final.

On the men's side, (1) Pospisil and Bester will meet in the semis (Bester knocked out Dancevic)
