DO NOT go in the water! It is probably more sanitary to wade through a sewer.

Exhausting, expensive and lots of beautiful women in bikini's.
Have been to two Stag Parties at Wet Republic in the past two years.
Second year 20 of us were able to accumulate a $8700 Tab.

Insider tip: if you're staying at a hotel on the strip when you land at the airport and take a cab to your hotel the driver will want to take the freeway. Avoid it at all costs. They do it because they get a bigger cab fare out of it. It's longer and usually gridlock. Our fare was $35 when taking the freeway but $12 when avoiding it. All the drivers do this because the tourists don't know that the freeway is more expensive

I'm not going to Vegas anytime soon but if I were to get in the cab what's the alternate route to tell the cab driver?

I believe you can just tell him your destination and say "don't take the tunnel".

Yup, can confirm. "No Tunnel" is the magic word when getting in a cab. All you need to say when you hop in the cab is "[Hotel Name], No Tunnel". Assuming he doesn't take the tunnel do the right thing and give a decent tip.

"Take Paradise not the freeway/interstate."
ETA: Its also a benefit to drive up Koval if you are renting a car, especially in the evenings. Las Vegas Blvd can be gridlock at night. Koval moves quickly.I don't know if it makes a difference in a cab, but you can make it from one end to the other in a few minutes on Koval while it would take 30 mins on the Strip.

"no tunnel, no freeway" is better. There are stories of people still getting long hauled even after saying no tunnel.
Sounds like they are trying to crack down on it.

The Nevada Taxicab Authority and McCarran International Airport on Friday will unveil their latest attempt to thwart taxi long-hauling — signs that list the approximate mileage, time and fare from the airport to downtown and Strip resorts.

The signs will post trip times and fares using three different routes: Paradise Road, Las Vegas Boulevard and Interstate 15.

I saw pete tong at wet republic this past summer. Get sh*tfaced enough so that you don't mind the water, or prepare to pay up the ass for a table.
Also, I bought a round of beers for 6 or 7 people and it cost me 100+ with tip.
It was still a highll of the trip though. They're a lot of fun if you meet people.

This isn't specific to Vegas but if you're planning on going to night clubs make sure at least one person in your group is a girl and is attractive. The more the better. You'll have much shorter waits and likely get in with no cover. Since cover charges in Vegas can be $30 per person it does add up fast. If it's a group of guys you'll likely wait in line for longer and will have to pay full cover

Last time we got to skip the line rather long line at Haze for no reason other than the girls we were with were pretty hot.

I stayed there 2 years ago amidst the reno's and found the rooms to be comfortable. Realistically your in Vegas and are only really in the room to sleep/shower, so i wasn't too concerned about room quality that much. The Pool is awesome and you cant beat the location, especially with the soon to open Linq and High Roller, right next door. There will a bunch more restaurants/ bars opening up in the vicinity very soon.
We are staying there again in June for a bachelor party, im excited to see all the new changes

So the wife and I are considering going to Vegas on the Easter weekend. Looked at west jet and the prices for two at one of the typical hotels is $2,400 - what do people think about that price. What do folks think the best price I can expect for that weekend?
