I think 40 goal pace is probably not set in reality. Probably closer to 25 goal pace with him now. If if can get 10 more this season, he would be looking at 49 over 2 seasons. This is going the distance.

I think Washington is probably hoping he does this sooner rather than later. His 9.5M cap hit is quite the number for helping him chase history. They pretty much have to keep him until he breaks the record.
