He played 12 minutes to Ovechkin's 24 minutes so he must be half as good right? His increased play time might be due to a shorter bench with Milano being out due to illness.

Well he knows something, he made the playoffs in one of his three seasons as the Head Coach of the Flames. Not as often on a percentage basis as Gulutzan, Peters or Wards but he still made the playoffs once.

Classic CP (including me) overreacting to that early season game against the Flames where we were rolling out the red carpet down the middle of the ice for him to score. That instance wasn't going ro be indicative of his success as an every day nhler.

We know you can't stand Sutter. He lost the room to a bunch of prima donna's and got smoked by the Oilers then missed the playoffs. But let's no pretend you or anyone on here know 10% of how to be successful in the NHL.
Sutter vs Woodcroft is so one sided, one will be in the HOF and one won't.

I'd give it another 10 games.
20-25 is a pretty good window to figure out if a player has it at the next level. That's also what the Flames should've given Phillips.
