Green screen over the mirror. The filmed her reaching for the cabinet and composited in the running down the hall to sync up.

I suspect the mirror is a green screen. At 18 seconds you can see the arm is different(red sleeve) than the "mirror".

Still have 38 minutes left as I passed out last night, but yeah it's pretty great. What a cast! It's hard finding someone who isn't a recognized name (or became one). And it's something most of you I'm sure knew 15 years ago, but the super long bank heist mission in GTA IV is clearly based on the HEAT bank heist.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure is just as fun and enjoyable as when I first saw it. Going to follow that up with Blow this weekend, probably my #1 favorite Johnny Depp movie.

Corridor Crew has you:

Start on Contact around 4 min, but their whole channel is worth the time.

Another good breakdown of the mirror scene in Contact among others.

The best mirror scene was the one in T2 where they just built a mirrored double set and used Linda Hamilton's twin sister as Sarah's reflection and shot Schwarzenegger's body double from behind.

Blow is so good. Our CALM teacher let us watch it in grade 10. I don't think he knew what was coming, lol.

The Globe theater is showing 2001 A Space Odyssey this week, for those who want to check it out in theaters.

If I had a famous actor as a twin, I would definitely leach off their reputation by making a bunch of horrible B movies. It would be like Bowfinger x 10....and with more nudity.

Definitely a movie one should experience on a big screen! I never had the patience to watch 2001 on TV, but I managed to see a screening of it at a theatre years ago and it finally "clicked" for me.

I loved how the film goes along piecing together the story slowly in a methodical way, showing you how different groups would react to the news of a radio transmission (possibly alien) from space to earth. Once the film is done, you really feel like you have gone on this epic journey with Jodie Foster's character. It's also a very different kind of alien film from most; this isn't a horror or an action film it's more of a mystery/drama. Also interesting that they used clips of Bill Clinton in the film, never really seen a movie use the actual president in a film.

Also, the film is 2.5hrs long but it never drags, there is always something going on to keep you engaged.
Easily a top 10 film for me. Loved it from start to finish.

Spoiler!

Oh...the brain bug. What an amazing creation in film that thing is. Plus, it leads to this amazing moment.

Just watched the latest Mission Impossible before it limps out of theaters. Felt too long. It was right in the wheelhouse for what you expect from an MI movie otherwise. I will check out the conclusion, as I imagine that will be the last one of the current iteration with Cruise et al.
