Considering all that has transpired out of that franchise since they joined the WHA and continuing on to this present day - from the players, the organization, the fans and even their obnoxious media - I would support a rule on this forum that gives a lifetime ban on any Calgary fan that 'feels sorry' for Edmonton being so craptascular for this long.
No, I don't feel sorry for Edmonton fans as a whole. "Someone should punch Gaudreau's head clean off with an uppercut". "I hope one of our goons takes out one of their stars." These are comments from some Oiler fans - I don't want to paint the entire fan base with the same brush here, but comments like these seem commonplace at times. It is abhorrent to me that their media has also taken up this torch.
I hope the Edmonton Oilers suck for the rest of their existence. I would love to see a heated rivalry in the playoffs, but not at the cost of rewarding the NHL's worst-run franchise backed by the most unprofessional media I have ever seen.
There are always idiotic fans that want blood and guts. Heck, some posters here have crossed that line at times. It just seems to me that way too much of this vitriol is being held by what SEEMS to be too high of a percentage of Oilers fans AND media.
Oilers - your team sucks. Get over it. Just because you can't have nice things doesn't mean others can't. Wrecking other people's nice things doesn't make your nice thing brighter. A turd is still a turd no matter what you compare it with.
I will never, EVER feel sorry for that organization, the players that sign as FAs, drafted players that choose to sign long-term extensions or that insufferable fanbase. May your team continue to rot in hell at the bottom of the standings where you most definitely belong.
Most of the Oilers fans' posters on this site, however, are pretty good. I actually enjoy reading their takes, even when they are riding that fine line of trolling (some of them are pretty funny, and I feel they add to this community here). Don't want to 'that guy' that ignores the fact that there are probably more good people than bad that cheer for the Oilers, but boy oh boy do their 'bad apples' seem to have increased both in number and intensity over the past few years.
Oilers are no good.

The boys at CHED are really putting their heads together to figure this out. Their bold move...play Spooner with McDavid and Draisaitl and move Khaira up with RNH and Puljujarvi. Sounds like a fool proof plan.
They also seem to think this stretch of garbage is all about losing Klefbom.
