So, Guardiola lost his mind in a press interview because he kept getting compared to Mourinho, so this should be an interesting match.
The least interesting part about it? I hardly care who wins.
Its strange, when I was a kid I liked both of these teams, but usualy only because one of my favourite players played for them. I like Barcelona because Ronaldo was a legend there for a while, although not very long and that soured pretty quickly, but then Ronaldinho played there and he was great too, I was also a big fan of Patrick Kluivert. Currently, I think the only player on Barca that I actually like is probably Carles Puyol and even thats marginal, maybe Dani Alves.
Real Madrid, I followed them a little when Ronaldo went to play there during the Figo and Zidane years, I'm a big fan of Kaka, although his form has been pretty awful the last few years. Actually, hes never been good for Madrid, but there you go.
In this day and age though, I dont really like either team, both of them are arrogant in the fact that they each consider themselves the greatest team in the world and that they're entitled to all the best players and they shouldnt have to pay for them. That annoys the hell out of me.
Anyways, yeah, Champions League, here we go. Personally, I believe that one of these two teams is going to win the Champions League.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Unfortunately for me I also think that the winner of this will also go on to win it all. Either way it offers some interesting side stories if they play United (I know that there is still a game to go and stranger things have happened but it looks like it will be United).
- a rematch or the horribly disappointing game from two years ago. I could not have asked a better place to watch the game - I was at an outdoor bar in Phuket drinking ice cold Heinekens only to see one of the flattest and most lifeless performance of the year from United. Poofter Boy was non-existent but so was most of the squad. Some guys in Barca jerseys were giving it to me hard the whole game (but in good fun).
- speaking of Poofter Boy - that alone creates a very interesting story in facing United in the final...not to mention the renewal of SAF vs. The Special One. Scholes going "red mist" on Ronaldo would be fun to watch.
With that said I think Barca will progress and win it all again.
the stats are just ridiculous 5 out of 6 ties with a red against the other team, they surround the ref after every call quicker than United and Chelsea players
Jose is right about the win over Chelsea, it was a terrible game, Chelsea should have had a penalty and Barca about 2 reds

Barca are quickly becoming one of my most hated teams. I have no love for Real, or any of the other teams that they've beaten recently, but the manner in which they do it annoys the living hell out of me.
They just petition the refs to get what they want. Mourinho called them out on it, although he was very 'tinfoil-hatty' about it the stats speak for themselves.
One of the things though, holy crap was this a shyte game. I PVR'd it and I couldnt even watch 15 minutes of it.

The whole spectacle was an embarrassment. It was the last match I got watching with my brother before he went back to Melbourne and it was a total letdown.
I've almost arrived at the point where I want United to win this.

porto in europa league semi final action pretty much booked their place to Dublin with a 5-1 win at home. They were down 1-0 at half, then it was the Falcao show. He scored 4 goals, including 2 sick headers. Porto is just not beatable right now. too good.
If they can keep Falcao and Hulk(2 big IF's), Porto could take a run at the Champions League next year. They are that good right now.
Falcao is an absolute stud but something tells me a big club is gonna scoop him up. 16 goals so far in Europa League. Unreal stuff.
