No. I find Setoguchi is better in that spot to compliment Iginla.

Heads up that a new roster update will be out tomorrow. The Olympic teams will get updated, but not fully accurate. Some players have to be left off on national teams because they don't have contracts under EA license.

Just picked this game up. So far it's BRUTAL. Why is game play so damn slow? Is there a way to turn the speed up? Everyone is a slug.

Yup. Just turn up the sliders in options

Ya thats one of the good and bad things about this game. I love how they give you all the slider options, you can really customize the game alot to what you want. So much so that it can feel like a completely different game. The problem with this is whenever you go to a buddy's house or something to play, you obviously have to play on "house rules" settings, and it can be like a whole new game depending on what they have the settings at.

Was at my buddy's house the other day and he's got speed way up, slapshot speed waaay up, and passing on its lowest setting. I own the game and play quite a bit and I could barely get it out of my own zone against him.

Anybody have problems connecting when playing league games? I tried to play a CP xbox league game and am unable to ready up. All that comes up is the team selection screen and then nothing happens. Doesn't happen with every game and I am able to play online with COD, Halo, etc.

I just played last night on versus from a long break... my opponent messaged me after I scored the game's first goal saying that he'll hack the game making me lose 3-0? I was like... okay sure, some scrub trying to scare me. The WHOLE game he didn't play, he just afk'ed or something, when he did have the puck, he would just throw the puck out causing delay of game penalties. Near the game, my game paused - on the top right hand corner was the "waiting for user" message, my screen then went back the game menu. I checked my game score from the player hub, it said I had lost 3-0 to a disconnect? I was like WTFFFFFFF?? I thought they fixed this wayyy back in NHL 09??

I was doing really bad in a Team Play game as the goalie, and my team got really mad at me. There was a penalty show against us, someone paused it for the full 30 seconds, and then it was a CPU controlling me on the penalty shot, I don't know if it was a glitch or just coincidence, but I did regain control of my guy on the next play.

I've had people pause a game and make me disconnect somehow in 09 and in 10, it's really annoying.

I find he is even better on C. He is hands down the best faceoff guy on the roster. Its nice starting the PP and the period with the puck instead of chasing it around.

If you are on a router or behind a firewall, the first thing you want to check is your Nat setting.

Here is a link to a thread on the issue. Read down they have some suggestions and there is a link to a website on port forwarding. Hopefully there's a fix in there for you.

Funny you bring this up. I've done it a bunch with Iggy as C over the last few years. He is setup very well for all positions, and I have even used him for the last 50 games in a season as a Defenseman.

Iggy on D:

-never gets tired with Dion, both on the ice for almost every minute
-gets pk, pp 1st lines
-decimates people with hits
-can let slapshots go at all times
-can pinch very fast and usually rush the goalie uncontested

What's odd is that I am able to play the other guys in the league, but it was when we tried to play a league game (xbox CPx3) late Saturday is where we couldn't ready up.

Yeah it's the same here. These errors don't happen to everyone just some people. If the router isn't set up right or something like that, it can cause problems just with certain players. At least thats how I understand it. I play nhl 10 team play and online play and never have problems either..

I've done my router stuff already.... I dunno..

I'm sure we played before in the other league.... Hopefully it's just a one time thing.

That or you can use the waiver wire, Put McBackup on waivers and hope someone picks him up. Or like me I sent Conroy packing the first day and he cleared then someone got hurt and I needed his 3 ahl goal ass and called him back up and then he was claimed.
