Not sure it closes the door on Bo per se
Okamoto apparently plays 1B as well , so that allows you to spell Vlad a bit as well .
Bo could come back and Barger just shifts to the OF and you effectively have 5 INF for 4 spots daily allowing rest and occasionally DH for Springer

Awesome.
Guy can play all 4 corners, IMO this does not take the Jays out of signing one of Tucker or Bo.
Building a very deep team. Incredible.

I think they are committed to Springer at DH more or less full time

C - Kirk / Heineman
1B - Vlad / Oko / Clement/ Santander
2B - Bo / Clement / Giminez
3B - Clement / Oko / Barger
SS - Giminez / Clement / Bo
LF - Oko / Santander / Straw
CF - Varsho / Straw / Lukes
RF - Barger / Oko / Lukes
DH - Springer / Vlad / Santander
My interpretation of the line up depth if they still bring back Bo.

Sure but you prob don’t want him playing more then 135 games either way - plus has a history of injuries

I think that effectively slams the door on signing Tucker. You basically have a log jam at the corner outfield/infield/DH spots right now. Not a bad problem to have but I can't see how they shoehorn Tucker in there without shipping someone out.
Now please just sign Bo and keep most of the nucleus from last year in tact. Don't want too much change after a magical season.

Santander really plugs things up. Seems like there are more dominoes to fall. Lukes has more value after his run than backup OF, I’d bet they could package up a couple bats and bring in a reliever

Don’t think that takes us out of the running for Tucker. The way I view it, Okomoto plays third, Gimenez to SS, Clement to 2B with Tucker available for the outfield and basically everyone able to shift around.

Maybe they know his injuries effectively will render him useless or unable to play this year…..

This team is really good and deep on paper, if they sign one of Bo or Tucker it will be friggin stacked.

Man, if they sign Tucker or Bo it will probably be the greatest off season of any team I've ever followed.

This guy seems like a bonus almost out of nowhere.
No Bregman is fine with me, maybe only Springer was hopeful for that.
Perfect storm offseason where the Jays have gotten the notoriety from the WS which has busted the dam as far as hesitation to come to Canada. Add to that the extra millions Rogers; there’s a chance they would’ve spent this money in the last couple years if all these guys said yes anyways, but extra millions helps there too.

Initially I thought Oka would be in the OF primarily, but apparently he's an above average defender at 3B so I'd imagine that's where he'll start most of the time.
He's also supposedly very good at 1B, so there's the guy who will spell Vladdy out from time to time.

And THEY bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh, this is a Nazi bar now. And its too late because they’re entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

Agreed. I think where it gets complicated is the OF now. Essentially by signing Oko, Barger more or less moves to RF. I don't think there's room for Tucker unless one of Santander/Varsho/Barger is moved. I think Barger deserves a chance here. I hope they go all out dollar wise (but not term), and get Bo for 2nd base. I do feel bad for Ernie getting slid out but his age ideally is fit for the first guy off the bench or situational playing with this depth.

In that situation at minimum I'd platoon Clement/Gimenez - Clement should take every at bat vs a LHP.

Barger could easily regress, though. Clement as well, to be honest. It's good to be loading up because you never quite know. More opportunities for impact players contributing is never a bad thing.
