That's the thing I don't think anybody here is actually poo poo'ing the QBs.
Just the situations these teams have put them in.
Williams has a decent receiving core but the o-line is no good.

Pacheco has a broken fibula and will be out for a while. Big loss as the Chiefs RB depth is poor. Left Tackle is a problem, with Hollywood out and Kelce washed, the receivers are no better than last year. Going to need Mahomes to drag them along more than ever.

It should be noted that its not just the NFL where QB play has really declined, but also college QB play seems worse than ever. I know the NFL gets a "free" developmental league by using the NCAA, but at some point a true development league where guys can learn and play against pro concepts (and not play half their schedule against severely overmatched opponents) would really be welcomed.

Even more reason why these teams should be smart and have a rookie learn the league behind a veteran for their first season.

Even if Williams is a bust it’s probably the worst trade ever.

But that's one year of poverty wages lost, which is why most teams just won't do it. And you can't blame them in a world where Dak is making $60 million per. It's not a coincidence that the quality of QB play has declined since the inception of the rookie cap. If you hit the poverty rookie lottery you can extract north of $200 million in surplus value (as the Texans will with Stroud). A true developmental league where prospects can develop where they are earning a minor league salary that doesn't count against the cap would surely help teams not rush guys.

Nah, that means the Bears got nothing when they could have had Stroud. Getting the rest of the haul, but still not getting the QB is pretty horrible (albeit on brand for the Bears), and makes whatever value they got for guys like Moore and the picks kind of worthless. It would be one of the biggest everyone loses trades ever.

Maybe they should create the minor league in Europe so we stop with the European games.

Carolina could have had Stroud. It’s who they wanted all along. In stepped the owner.
Now Young will be a Roughrider next season.

Interesting strategy by ATL to decide tackling is optional.

I’m heading to Vegas this weekend to watch the Raiders play Carolina. I e never been to an NFL game before and haven’t been to Vegas ion 17 years! Any tips or recommendations of things to see or do before the game starts? Tailgate/team parties? Cool bars or restaurants?

Boy are you in for a surprise!
No idea on the pre game rituals for Raider fans in Vegas, but there is no shortage of cool bars nor restaurants in that town.
If you are a fan of LV my suggestion would be to find a fan message board much like this one, and ask/see where they congregate. Too hot down there still to tailgate during the day i imagine.

Well at least this game is flying by even if it's pretty boring.
