It's going to be interesting to see what happens in Toronto next week. I expect the GM and coach will not return but IMO they need a roster shakeup as that core just can't get it done in the playoffs.

Well they can roll 3 solids lines, their weakest forward in the top 9 is Cousins but Tkachuk makes him look like a legit top 6 forward. Their top 4 dmen are pretty solid.

If be surprised if Treliving gets any job offers at this point.
His legacy is going down as trading the 2 highest draft picks in your team's history to another team where they are having great success.
Who wants that?

Not only was Verhaeghe originally a Leafs draft pick, who was traded for Grabner, but he was actually part of a trade where the Leafs essentially took Grabner off the Islanders hands in exchange for dumping 5 contracts.

Of the other 4, two never played an NHL game (Tom Nilsson, Matt Finn), Christopher Gibson played 16 games, and Taylor Beck 92.

Wow from slaying the Tampa dragon to this. And now the Toronto media has totally turned on the Leafs. Call in show will be a gong show tonight.

Missed the 3rd and OT, but I re-wound the feed and I'm watching the last 5 mins of the 3rd now. Man, what a saucer to Bennett for almost the winner. What a strange play by O'Riley though.

You just knew Florida was going to win after seeing Leafs fans cheer "We want Florida" during the Bruins-Panthers series

Guess I'm going to have to admit that Tkachuk is the best, like when Vegeta admitted that Goku was the best

Drafted #2 overall in 2014 by Buffalo. Played in WHL for Kootenay Ice. Now a 3/4 point per game player in the NHL. Son of Paul Reinhart.

I don’t think nhl executives view it in such a narrow manner
He will get great offers. The only delay to him being back in the nhl will be if he wants a break

Holy, Tkachuk hooked down behind the net and then Bennett tripped behind the net. I had to look up the penalty calls to see if the Leafs had anything called against them tonight... looks like they got one more penalty tonight than their series avg (2 tonight instead of 1).

Benny has been talked about ad nauseum on this thread. Personally he is the one who hurts the most for me. He was never given a fair shake. He was buried in bad coaching hires, poor roster construction, and classic Flames mismanagement. I'm happy for every ounce of his success.

What a great series. Fort Lauderdale is going to be bumping with this little run. And hopefully Carolina gets past Jersey as that could be the start of a nice little rivalry.

Ah nice. I guess that’s the Calgary connection referenced above. I thought it was because Brodie lost him lol.

I'm enjoying watching the Leafs lose, but this really does highlight how bad the Flames actually are as a franchise.

Florida had nothing called against them the whole game. I only watched the second half of it but didn't see anything missed either.
