At least he isn’t in the Pacific. But ugh, why Chicago?

I don't think it's rigged. But man....Chicago is the last team that should be gifted this.

Chicago. Yuck. What a deeply upsetting outcome.

Anaheim gets shafted on 2 generational type players.

That makes me a happy kind of sad.

in the end did the Hawks really need to beat us? We would still be playing if Markstrom would have performed at an AHL level against them.

Well you know, who wants to sit through losing seasons when you can finish in the middle of the pack and see these generational talents on the visiting teams?

I was under the impression anyone involved with the production knows the results. The draw was an hour or so ago and everyone in attendance is basically under lock down.

Frank Seravalli mentioned he’d be there and was told he’d have to sit in a room and turn over his phone etc until the broadcast was over

I'd rather Chicago get that Columbus or Anaheim.

I can't stand the Ducks. They have caused the Flames too much grief in the past, and I hate the fact that a team named "Ducks" even exists. Plus, I think of the 3 teams at the bottom, they already have a really talented group of youth. Adding Bedard would give them an embarrassment of riches once that team starts to come together.

Plus, no Bedard in Columbus for JG to play with makes me happy.

Well if we beat them they would not be getting Bedard so in that sense it worked for the Hawks. They beat the Flames and got the first overall pick.

The problem is the NHL has a history of being shady about these kind of things. Here is a question, why is this such a secret draw? Why as fans are we not allowed to see the balls put in the machine and drawn? I mean if it is on the up and up what is the issue there?
