Man, Brady Tkachuk is such a character. I really wish it were possible to have him on the team. I really respect how supportive he is of his brother. Being a player himself, I imagine it would be easy to let the disappointment of not being in the playoffs himself take over.
This interview and his reaction still cracks me up about 25 seconds in.

No. Gaskal posted last night that he was up too late last night and had work today. He said that he'd get to the ATL "sometime tomorrow night" (thus, sometime this evening).
Here it is:

For the first game this series I wore my autographed Johnny jersey. Before overtime I texted my brother saying it’s gonna be Johnny in OT…feeling the good juju.
Will not be taking this jersey off rest of the way.
Are you and I the same person? I also texted my brother before OT to tell him that Gaudreau was going to score the game-winner.
Spoooooky.

Honestly felt a bit anti-climatic, as the Flames had been robbed on so many great scoring opportunities. That last one with Johnny in the slot, where Oettinger somehow got his glove up had me resigned to the fact the Flames would never score...then what seemed like a nothing shot on a dead play just went in....Took me a solid 5-10 seconds to realize the game was over and we'd won.
When Oettinger robbed Hanifin in OT I thought there was just no way we could get another puck past this guy. Oettinger dropped his stick on the ice, and then his stick went on to get a vital touch on the puck to buy him enough time to make the save. I thought if Oettinger is using mind control to move his stick around to make saves then this just simply wasn’t meant to be for us.

I was watching the replay, and saw the stick on the ice....and was just like WTF? He drops his stick and it somehow saves the game?
If you had told me ten years ago that someday Keith Tkachuk and his extended family would become the alternate playoff mascots of the Calgary Flames...
100% would Ron Burgundy.
I'm living for the Keith cellies on this run.

I am still trying to understand what that feeling in my heart/body was when that puck went in and…
From my vantage point in the PL, I can almost always see the puck as enters the net (it's very similar to the one chemgear posted -- that camera is one section over). On the game winner, I could only see a little black blur behind Oettinger. With brain synapses firing, I thought it was in but couldn't believe it.
A split second later, seeing Oettinger slump over and Johnny raise his arms, I knew it was in. I'm pretty sure I started screaming like a madman, arms up in the air like I was Rocky Balboa. I regret nothing.
By the way - what a 2017 draft for Dallas
3rd overall - Heiskanen
26th overall - Oettinger
39th overall - Robertson
Robertson was semi-invisible this series, but had 40 goals in the regular season and the other 2 guys were by far their best in the series.
2017 draft is humourous is retrospect - Hischier and Nolan Patrick go 1-2 followed by Heiskanen and Makar. Nightmare fuel for the Devils and especially the Flyers.

Robertson wasn't putting up points at his usual pace this series, but he was definitely causing a lot of turnovers and I felt nervous every time he had the puck in our zone. He has a very bright future in the league, likely a 90ish point winger IMO.
