I swear I’ve seen more legible final Jeopardy answers rejected in the past. Trying to remember one like a year or two ago where a lady’s answer looked correct but the judges didn’t like the last letter.
Do remember the Benedict/Benedick and Barry/Berry controversies, and who can forget they time they judged an 8 year old wrong for not spelling emancipation correctly.

We almost had a rare thing last night. If the middle contestant had gotten the final question wrong, she would have dipped below zero and there would have been only one contestant advance to final jeopardy. Not sure if I've seen that.
And what if they bet it all and get it wrong? Is it possible to be a jeopardy champion with $0 earnings?
I mean why wouldn’t you with nothing to lose. And for the lols.
I believe in a case where all 3 contestants end up with 0 or less, there is no winner and a fresh slate of 3 contestants come in.
So I would assume the same if someone was that dumb in this situation. They would need to simply bet it all, less 1 buck.

Oof that was a rough one tonight. Must have had one of the lowest correct response rates I've seen highlighted by 5 questions in a row with no answers, and the eventual winner betting it all on a daily double, getting the question right, but failing to phrase it in the form of a question.
Rough one.
