That same lawyer said he has four separate cases. I assume all civil.

Raiders 7th for Cardinals 3rd. Combined with the re-signing of Good and Incognito this lessens the sting.

Would love to know the timeline on this
Was yesterday's news premature? Did they realize teams were making offers after it broke?
With the guards back, just need a RT now

Incognito is still playing? I wouldn't bet $5 against him having an early ex-NFLer death and a severe CTE post mortem result within 10 years.

happens from time to time that teams find a trade after already announcing they would release the player. I remember the Browns had already announced they'd release McCourty back then and the Pats came in and traded for him before it happened.

He was injured most of last year. Season before though I think he was one of the highest graded guards in the league

Quite a few beers deep on St. Paddy's and watching a Brees pre-game pump up collab vid I saw on the Twitter TL. Talking about Brees in the past tense deeply upsets me...that is all

Things are not looking good for Watson. This probably explains the Taylor signing as the team may be preparing for a suspension. I can't see any trades happening with him as long as he has this over his head.

With these accusations he’s now such a toxic asset I can’t see him going anywhere. The rest will have to play out in court.

Good pickup for the Bills. He's not starting QB material but makes for a decent backup QB that could start for them short term if need be.

The Raiders go wild with 2 years 14.5 mil 11 mil guaranteed for Kenyan Drake. That’s certainly a choice.

For a team that should be spending every cent possible to improve that dog#### defense, spending any money, let alone a decent amount of money, on the least valuable position in the league....derrrrp.

This is what happens when an offensive minded coach runs a football team. The $10 million backup QB is still on the roster as well so that's over $15 million tied up in the backup QB and RB. That said I think Mariota will likely be cut or traded in the coming days.

The salary cap will be flat this year...next year though?

The NFL will nearly double its media revenue to more than $10 billion a season with new rights agreements announced Thursday, including a deal with Amazon Prime Video that gives the streaming service exclusive rights to "Thursday Night Football" beginning in 2022.
The league took in $5.9 billion a year in its current contracts. It will get $113 billion over the 11 seasons of the new deals that begin in 2023, an increase of 80% over the previous such period, a person with direct knowledge of the contracts told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the money figures were not made public.
|
That's 10 BILLION a year. 312 M per club per year.
Its just a money making machine.

Again wouldn’t it be more efficient for Pace and Nagy to resign now? Playing out the whole season before being fired feels dumb
Edit: there has to be some sort of plan to move up in the draft. Unless they had all their eggs in the Wilson basket and blew it nothing makes sense. These moves are not the moves of a coach and GM who are both going into the final year of their deal. Viewed from the outside it is insane what they’re doing.

This made me chuckle

The possibility of landing a marquee quarterback this offseason had caused the Chicago Bears' Super Bowl odds to improve slightly in recent weeks. But on Tuesday, after the reported signing of veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill dropped the Bears' odds from 40-1 back to 50-1.

More of a longshot with a QB than without. Ouch.

ABC/ESPN getting back in the Super Bowl mix, as well getting five flex games per season for MNF is a big win for them. There were a fair amount of Monday Night duds they had to stick with.
