Holiday in particular was awful, but in general they are just shooting so poorly from three in both this series and in the playoffs overall. They are at 31% for the playoffs which would be the worst % in the league in the regular season. They were at 38% for the regular season. Their offense is predicated on Giannis drawing help and using spacing for open looks, they just aren't shooting good enough. Can't even really blame Bud, I think he's be fine so far, guys just need to start shooting better.

I'm kinda team Rachel on this one.

Well, if you are kind of team Rachel, you are a racist. The wokeness here is pretty sad. Media just piling on. Here is an opinion piece on CNN that the throws out every name in the book. And Taylor won't speak openly about it so how can it ever be resolved?

This team continues to amaze me, when guys are off others just fill in seamlessly.
That crazy passing sequence was unreal - Not getting over confident but i'm not sure what else the Bucks can do.
2 more wins until this City finally gets it's Champion Suns! I'll be so happy for Al McCoy, used to listen to his online radio calls in Calgary when I couldn't get the Suns on TV. Peter Maher x2 and never gotten a ring.
Do it for Al!

If this was about negotiating her contract - then she has played ESPN like a drum. They leak she has big demands. So she leaks this story. Now they'll have to pay her or deal with the bad PR of having her leave and Nichols staying. Sounds smart to me.

Taylor asking for Stephen A money is pretty crazy, regardless of what you think of Stephen A's broadcast approach he is a ratings driver. NBA Finals ratings this year are better than the bubble, sure, but much worse than 2019 (and even worse than 2018, the last reasonable comparable), so clearly she has no impact on the number. And that's not a personal shot at her, she hosts the portion of the broadcast no one cares about, it'd be the same for anyone....but that's the point, they could put a cardboard cutout of Ahmad Rashad and the rating would be the same as putting Taylor out there. But it was definitely smart of her to play it like this, now the media narrative if ESPN lets her walk is they kept Nichols over her, and the cries of racism will be far and wide.

That would really underhanded. If Taylor leaves ESPN may look bad for a little while but I don't think anyone else would hire her. And what's bigger than ESPN? I'd call that bluff because she's a replaceable cardboard cutout. Nichols has been a team player for ESPN. She didn't fight losing her position, she didn't complain (publicly) and all would have been normal if that call hasn't been recorded and leaked.

Can someone explain the issue to me? Is the uproar over this quote?
"If you need to give her more things to do because you are feeling pressure about your crappy longtime record on diversity — which, by the way, I know personally from the female side of it, like, go for it. Just find it somewhere else. You are not going to find it from me or taking my thing away."
Is this it? or did she actually say something racist?

Nichols obviously implied Taylor got the job because of trying to make a diversity choice. The funny thing is she mostly was taking shots at ESPN and not Taylor. But Taylor's people are making a play here for money and are fine throwing Nichols under the bus to do it.

That's pretty much it but this is the full first article from NYT

NBC and Amazon have offers on the table for Taylor around 5 million to 6 million per year.

That's bananas. A sideline reporter for chrissakes. Talk about a contract they'd live to regret. How much do they pay their news anchors if that's the price they give to a sideline reporter? I'm envious.

Well the only other possibility is that it was because she's younger and more attractive, and that's not actually any better. She certainly didn't get the position because she's more qualified or better suited to the role because... well, she clearly isn't.

Yes. And even if she was, you don't break contracts to do it. People are forgetting that it was Nichols' contract. In the middle of peak COVID, she quarantined and left home to go into the bubble, the unknown, only to be told she had been replaced.

Suns aren't gonna win too many games with Bobby Portis outscoring Booker.
