To be fair up until this last stretch this team was automatic going into the third.

But ever since the start of December they have lost any ability to hold a lead in the third.

Even during he win streak they were bending but wouldn’t break. These last two games though....full meltdowns.

I'm feeling strangely calm right now. I wasn't expecting a win tonight anyway, and blowing 2 goal leads is pretty much a guarantee with this team right now. Fragile team is fragile.

And I refuse to put the loss completely on Smith, as the guy has easily been the MVP this year. The 5th and 6th goals are more on Gulutzan for not pulling Smith when everyone in the freakin' building could tell he was struggling.

I’m afraid this is the tipping point towards missing the playoffs.
This team has become the “find a way (to lose) flames”
They seem to have very little confidence with the lead. It’s a big monkey on their back and they can’t seem to shake it.

Flames could have been in a position to jump out ahead of all of these teams but instead like always end up tripping over their own feet.
