Walk into 7-11 there's a couple young guys there in Oilers jerseys probably buying chewing tobacco and maxim magazines.
Me- "Hey guys, did we win tonight?"
Dude 1 - *blank stare*
Dude 2 - "no blew it in overtime"
Me - "time to cheer for the flames I guess...see you later"

What? No ticky-tack penalty in the final minutes of the third to gift the Oil a powerplay?
Here's hoping San Jose can win back-to-back games in Edmonton. Apparently middle fingers have replaced jersey tosses.

It turned way before that. Sharks also Dominated the second period.

Definitely, I just feel like the onslaught from that pp really solidified things for the eventual comeback. Talbot made 4 or 5 tremendous saves off of redirections and the oilers looked completely disjointed and were reeling from that point until the game winner about 9 minutes later.

DeBoer is a serious upgrade on McLellan. Took basically the same roster to the finals last season, plus a Devils squad as well. I hope this one is a sharks sweep. 3 more to go.

There was HD TV in 2006 as the Flames-Bolts SC Final in 2004 was also shown in HD.

What a 1st night of the playoffs! We get 2 games decided in sudden death OT. The Oilers lose and home teams had the disadvantage. The goalies were terrific with Jake Allen facing 52 shots in the OT win for the Blues. Then there's Lundqvist getting the 31 save SHUTOUT. Fleury made 31 saves in the win in a surprise start in net with Murray getting injured. Rask faced 27 shots making clutch saves late in the game.
Final scores and post game links are in each series thread.

It was mostly his d partner Justin Braun who contained MCDavid. Vlasic actually looked pretty average and got caught napping way too many times only to be saved by Braun.
