Why was that bunt attempt counted as an out and not a foul?
Because he had 2 strikes on him. A foul bunt with 2 strikes is an automatic out.

On any bunt, a foul on 2 strikes is automatically an out.

Does Maddon rip off his uniform revealing an Indians jersey after this game? Then kicking Chapman in the stomach and giving him the Stone Cold Stunner?

Would not be shocked if this ends in a walk off homer this inning. You can't keep throwing the same pitch without the hitters taking advantage.

Hopefully the Cubs pull this off.

Chapman is gonna give up a walk off. They've gotta get him out of there.

Yes. A foul on a bunt is considered a strike with two strikes.

Gotta think one of the Cubs big boys will pop one out here. Probably their best chance.

I think Cleveland just blew their chance. My gut tells me the Cubs are going to win this.

Yes. Any foul ball from a normal swing with 2 strikes already is just a foul ball. Any foul ball via bunt with 2 strikes already is a strikeout via foul bunt.

Now why the rule is different there, I don't know.

A good result doesn't mean it was the right decision.
