Ugh... this is miserable.
The worst part is these guys - unlike any debate involving Trump - are totally capable of a proper debate. This is just a henpecking squabble. The moderator needs an airhorn and a potato gun.

It's been a pretty rough go for moderators the last two cycles. Is it that hard to keep control?

Switched it over briefly between innings. This reminds me a lot of our leaders' debates, except there's fewer people shouting over top of one another.

I'd say this pretty well sums up the collective indifference to this debate. From the 538 liveblog
Quote:
I’m watching the CNN livestream with the little squiggly lines from a focus group of “undecided Virginia voters.” Almost no matter what the candidates have said so far, they’re flatter than a curling rink in Manitoba.

Graduating from Liberty University should disqualify you from being a police officer.

Graduating from Liberty University should have your high school diploma revoked.

Kaine is coming on strong now after a rough start.
Hammering trump on his accountability is the key to a Hillary win.

This is boring, so I'm not sure who that helps. I would guess Trump since he needs to have proof an adult is actually on the ticket.

Kaine is doing better but should have been coached to wait for his spots, instead of often asking for the mod's help.

Boom, roasted.
How tough must it be for Pence to have to defend things Trump has said.

Ignoring all their answers, and the policies behind them - Just based on how they carry themselves and answer questions, Pence is head and shoulders above Kaine. Pence has that "presidential demeanor" to him (more than Trump) in how he responds, carries himself. Kaine just kind of comes off as a creepy sniveling lacky.
That and something about Kaine's pointy teeth and smile that just give me the heebee-jeebees

But we can all agree this moderator is terrible. Cutting both candidates off mid-debate.
