lol - admittedly a little out of it this morning - just stoked for this coming season after revisiting the offseason with a colleague this AM over coffee (maybe something was in the coffee!). Just thought the Summer of Brad could use a little extra dose of appreciation. That's it. As you were.

Loved Brad's presser today. He looks exhausted but the summer he had looking under every stone, and getting Stone back in lol....

He's become quite the GM and I don't worry about him so much anymore . Glad he's here.

If he doesn't get extended, it'd be a crime. Team has to literally implode though for him to not get an extension though.

I do wonder if an extension is on hold to see what this club can do first and before another contract is offered.

Darryl is up this year as well, though im sure he is calling his own shots to some extent.

Treliving has probably earned a huge raise.

Sutter IMO is the question mark. Teams going to have to get through round 2 for him to consider coming back. Juice has to be worth the squeeze so to speak.

Gives me that man with hand on chin in front of a hundred monitors vibe.

Sutter said it himself, team has to have multiple playoff runs to have that experience. This is just the beginning towards his unfinished business.

He will be around. I believe.

I don't believe this. He was out of coaching and didn't have much interest unless it was Calgary or Edmonton looking at him. Now that he's back I bet he's emotionally invested 100% again in this team and wants to win a championship.

Not a chance imo, that he gets this Stanley Cup contending retooled roster and says "#### off" in the spring if we don't go on a run in the first year with such a different core.

If I were to guess, the closest Sutter comes to what you're suggesting is to take it year by year. But even then I bet he signs a 2-3 year deal knowing that he can just retire after any one season.

I'll admit until he got us Markstrom and Sutter I was a little jaded because of the coaching carousel and the lack of a starting goalie. But it sounds like he was pushing for Darryl much before he actually got hired, whereas Darryl was waiting for the right moment, so it's understandable.

He's basically hit home run after home run since then

Calgary and Chicago were the only teams Sutter was willing to consider

Yup it was Calgary or Chicago-he said both were "unfinished business".

He literally said during the press conference upon his return that the only teams he would consider were Calgary and Chicago.

Sutter said himself after being re-hired that for him, Calgary and Chicago were the only teams he would come out of retirement for being they are both close to his heart, unfinished business and all that.
