Genie cruises into round two in under an hour, Milos catches a nice break as Nishikori gets upset in round 1
It seems every time atptour.com or some related publication does a big story on how Nishikori is set to solidify his place in the top ten, he gets upset in the first round.
"Nishikori" is actually the Japanese term for balsa wood and/or shattered glass. it's true, look it up.
looking forward to another couple of weeks watching Genie eat chicken nuggets and chop vegetables in a horribly incorrect manner, in between rain delay coverage.

ITF @ITF_Tennis13mStan Wawrinka becomes the first Australian Open champion to lose in the 1st round of the subsequent French Open since Petr Korda in 1998.
Maybe Li Na and Wawrinka figured since they already got majors this year, might as well kick it in Paris for two weeks. Li looked totally disinterested in that closing set.

Genie shakes off losing the first set 2-6 and comes back to win the next two 6-2, 6-1. Even better, looks like Pannetta is on the ropes, opening up a path to the 4th round.
Edit: And now the whole draw is blown open, Serena out in round 2, 6-2 , 6-2...wow.

I can't recall Milos ever serving so poorly in the first two sets. With that said, this could be one of the first times the rest of his game picked him up entirely.
Very encouraging to see it all come together in set 3 - he's going to need his whole game to beat Simon the way he's rolling.
