I thought every report said that Acy was a disaster at SF during summer league and any thought of that being his role going forward was over?

I didn't watch any games but that last stat line seems to go against those reports.

Either way Acy is a guy that should not be getting minutes on a play-off team but for a bad team like the Raptors he can eat up minutes with his hustle and seemingly positive attitude.

Guys, this is summer league. Guys in the NBA always pop off these type of numbers from time to time. Acy's fooling nobody. End of bench.

Summer league is more about not playing bad. Had Acy struggled or Jonas not looked good I'd be concerned but good to see them looking good against scrubs in a second rate atmosphere. Acy can be usefull if he can in fact develop some shooting, and obviously Jonas is the franchise hope going forward.

Free-agent forward Austin Daye has reached agreement on a two-year, $2 million deal with the Toronto Raptors, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Raptors hope Daye can strengthen their bench with his ability to stretch the floor with his 3-point shooting.

After three-plus seasons with the Detroit Pistons, Daye was traded to Memphis in February as part of the three-team deal involving Rudy Gay.

Daye, a 25-year-old, 6-foot-11 forward, averaged 4.5 points splitting the season between the Pistons and Grizzlies. He was the 15th overall pick to Detroit in the 2009 NBA draft out of Gonzaga.

Daye can shoot but hard playing he ain't. He is super soft thin as a rail guy. He can shoot the 3 ball and they now have a plethora of those. Youngish guy as well and on a super cheap contract. Basically a good throw in on a deal if they make a trade. I like MU's idea of a scrub over BC's anyday. At least they are young and not on ridiculous deals.

If they move Novak during the year Daye can take over his role.

If they can move Gay and DD this team goes from 10/11th in the East to Wiggins contender with the latest signings if they plan to roll with the current group it seems they are set to be mediocre again with a horrible bench and outside shot at 8th place and a quick 4 game exit.

Hopefully Ujiri has something bigger planned or this will be a dreadful season to watch with little reason to be hopefully moving forward.
