With football, like life in general, the idiots fortunately are in the minority. It's just people like you that choose to focus on the idiots. You're definitely a strange one. Move to England and decide to focus all your energy on cheering against a team as opposed to cheering for one.
Terrible display, lucky result. Definite penalty and easy red card. The half time analysis summed it up pretty well. Shelvey basically lost his head in the occasion. The ref tried to calm him down just before the sending off for a reckless challenge but he just fobbed him off.
And what the hell is this supposed to mean? "I'm sorry. I have also apologised to Sir Alex Ferguson. Where I come from people don't grass people up to get someone sent off."
Final random thought. Ian Rush has not aged well. He looks about 70.

whatever you think of him (all of them bad on my end)
He was one of the few who always gave his all for England, could never question his effort and desire to win like some of the other 'stars' on the team
it's not a bad time for him to go though, the one position England has done a great job producing in youth is CB
Jones/Caulker/Smalling all look like they are going to be great

This is exactly the point. What we saw was one set of teams having the rules strictly applied to them on key decisions while the other team did not.
It was the same with the decision over the 'pelanties'.
Both pivotal decisions that decided the outcome of the match.
As is so often the case in the EPL, it is not good enough to be better than Manchester United to win - you need to be significantly better, and even then your chances are 50/50.

I think that this is a great example of what I term "the Flair phenomenon."

Jones is at least four weeks away, but Smalling could be back within 2 weeks ... that's what I read anyway. Relying on the health of Ferdinand is really bad. I guess Evans and a young guy like Wootton or Keane will play tomorrow, then have Ferdinand and Evans against Tottenham.
