"According to bull#### spouted by snake oil salesman"...that's a real buy in you've demonstrated.
Do the math on that 20,000 per hour number and come back to us.
If you are going to the cost and effort to build a tunnel to move people, you put a train in it. Humanity has this problem solved. If you really hate other people you put them in pods, on a track(or I guess you van be like Paris if you like tires), on a train. Human driven Tesla's topping out at 35mph requiring a driver for each car is dumb.
Anyway, for those who don't swallow whole throated Musk meal without rational question, here's about where they are now. (12 minute wait just to get on)
A chore that tens of thousands have to endure, being presented with a solution at a lower cost and faster execution, but all you can do is sputter how terrible it is. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out, positive or negative.
I for one look forward to an improvement in the bland task of getting from where one finds themselves to the airport more efficiently. You don’t have to take it. You can smugly ride with your soon to be unemployed Uber driver.
And the reason the cars in the tunnels have a driver is because it is a requirement of the Las Vegas authorities, not because it couldn’t be autonomous. One way tunnels would be the absolute simplest example of where self driving vehicles could (and will) operate.
Where's the evidence it's lower cost and faster execution, along with being better than a train? You are just repeating what Musk tells you. That doesn't make it true, or your car would have drove itself in 2016 and we'd be on our way to Mars by now.

20,000 an hour, what a riot.
Yeah, let's assume you fill each of the Teslas on on that system with 4 people (it'll be less than that).
So 20,000 people means you've got to move 5000 cars per hour.
Assuming it takes 30 seconds to load a car (it'll be more than that) that means you can load ~120 cars/hr/lane.
So that means to move 20,000 people/hr, you're gonna need the equivalent of 42 lanes inside this tunnel.
That sees implausible.
I mean, you could reduce that by say coupling multiple cars together so more people could load simultaneously, and those blocks of cars travel together.
But at that point, you're just inventing the worlds dumbest train.
