Download and play the FFXVI demo, it friggin rocks.
It might have the most impressive cut scene work and voice acting I’ve ever seen in a game - the graphics and music are incredible. The combat is a full on action-RPG — it’s fast and fun and there’s going to be a lot of depth as it opens up. The story is excellent mature fantasy with classic FF underpinnings.
This is gonna be a must play. Even if you’re not a franchise fan you need to check it out.

It was a must buy for me before. But after playing the very start of the demo it’s a pre order now

then I’ll get myself a long island iced tea or maybe make myself a mai tai, grab some snacks and then the rest of the afternoon will be blissful monster slaying fun.
These thoughts wash over me like a warm summer breeze, I imagined myself making progress in the campaign. Maybe I’d make it to act 3 and travel to a new area.

.....So to all the other Dads out there that were unable to play Diablo this weekend, our time will come. The demons will always be waiting for us to slay them. Enjoy your time with your family.
my daughters have recently got their first job...they surprised me with Diablo 4 (bought with their own money) on fathers day and gave me two hours of uninterrupted playing time on Sunday.
Good times, enjoying the game so far

It's a brand new convention. I guess we will find out Friday/Saturday as we go along. I think it's also all gaming including board & mini wargames.
It's pretty exciting to have a new (hopefully annual) convention in Calgary.
I think you need to pay for tickets. I bought some computers from Memex and got 5 scratch and win cards for free entry but I think it's a marketing scam.
All of them scratched to reveal "buy one get one free"
The thing is $45 PER DAY (separate tickets for Fri, Sat, Sun). It seems insane.
It is pricey but I think the thought is a full fledge convention ala the Comic Expo but I doubt it will be that big or complete at the start (first few years).
I saw them with a discount promo code on their facebook a while back and gaming/board game stores were giving discounted prices with purchases.
Super Mario RPG was one of the best RPG's of the SNES era, which was the golden ERA for that JRPG style of game.
It was super unique but still fundamentally solid in its gameplay. Excited to play this remake with my boy now.

The convention was fairly small. Got some things I wanted from Battletech and Warhammer. Quickly wandered through the rest, would be nice to have it get bigger though.
I know Diablo isn't like a huge graphical game but I am a little surprised at the relatively low graphical fidelity here. The faces/animation isn't great/modern? I guess you play the cutscenes/story only once anyhow though.
