Chambers Bay is one of the best courses I've played. Made the trip up when I played Bandon Dunes and Pumpkin Ridge. Was the best course on that junket and I would put it ahead of Pebble Beach for course on the west coast. Fantastic facility and hard to believe it is a muni.

Drove out to Carseland this morning to play a final round of golf at the Speargrass Golf Club. Joining me were John "One Putt" Penner, Adrian "The Cayley Crusher" Poncsak and Rod "The Ageless Wonder" Nelson. The temperature for the day was awesome and the best part was there was no wind. Everyone had a great round day to end the golf season.

That's being nice. Golfers at my course would tease me and call them my PJ's

finished the year at 77 rounds, had some great moments and great weather for the most part. Will head to San Diego and play some rounds in January and watch the final day of the Farmers. Pretty Pretty Pretty good

I had a great season. Played a lot of rounds all together and brought my index down from start to finish by 5 strokes. If I went peak to trough it would be almost six strokes, so needless to say, I’m happy with that progress. I’m playing in a sim golf league this winter, but it’s just not the same.

I ended up with 90 rounds this summer. Played too much and didn't practice enough which reflected in my poor and inconsistent play.

It’s hard because I know I should practice, but honestly if I have a night to play, I want to play not practice. I feel like I’ll work on things and practice over the winter, and hopefully just play a bunch in 2024!

It's hard for me because it's work and like you I'd rather just play. I think I can practice while playing and that doesn't work. Next year I plan on using the range more.

i havent tried out the Aero Jet yet. I currently have a Rad Speed which i really like, so the need to get a new driver was low on the priority list but i got a good price on it and couldnt resist. We will see.

You know I was kinda curious if TPC Fox Hollow or The Country Club at Heather Glen were open today, and actually it's Shag and Maple Ridge that are. Apologies to anyone who wanted to golf today since this is too late...

Fox Hollow has been open the last few weeks (minus a few snow days). Saw a guy on the back 9 yesterday around 4pm.

I may coming up to the end of my employment in January. Any recommendations for a short, all inclusive type trip for some sun and golf, like Mexico? OR, a long one like Spain?
Good food and reasonable rates would be desired.

No reasonable rates to be had in Mexico. Could go to Cabo for $200-300 rounds. Or the Mayan for worse courses and $150-250 rounds. Or some smaller destinations but golf in Mexico is expensive. Near resorts anyway. All USD.
I just played in Cabo last week and it was about $300 USD all in (food beverages and rentals included) at Campestre in SAN José.

I haven't played in Cabo, but have played on a couple trips to PV.
Honestly, you are better off going somewhere in the US if you are wanting to golf. Even Hawai'i is better value than Mexico.
If you are going to Mexico, hit the beach/pool. It's a better use of resources.

Scottsdale or Palm Springs are good options for what you're wanting; but not all inclusive.
