This is true, the Elks being this bad could be fatal for the league. And as a lifelong CFL fan, I hate to see anything endanger the league.

Okay so with tonights loss the Edmonton Elks tie the professional sports record for most home losses in a row with 20.

The record now equals the record set by the MLB's St Louis Browns in 1953 when they also suffered 20 consecutive home game losses.

It still looked like a decent crowd for a team that hasn't won on home field for 20 games. The Esks sorry Elks still haven't had the Coach Q getting pelted by snowballs when he left the field on McMahon. But its coming.

We could easily relocate their sorry team to Halifax or Saskatoon and the whole world would be better off. Edmonton?

From the 90's to middle of last decade the Alberta teams were the two most stable and consistent franchises in regards to support and attendance. Today both play in front of largely empty stadiums. It's a big problem for the league but at the same time I can't fault fairweather fans for passing on the game as the QB play right now is the worst I can remember maybe ever. Teams like Calgary, Hamilton, Ottawa, and Edmonton are starting QBs that are at best backup quality and guys like Fajardo, Adams, and Harris are very pedestrian that in better times would be looked at as below average starters. There's basically only one really good QB in the league and there are way too many games last night where it looked like amateur hour on the field.

The Elk are so bad that they will ruin an entire league. That is some next level E=NG.

Imagine having the Anaheim curse in your own building.

Also this is just a preview of what the Oilers will look like after McDavid leaves and the lottery ball luck runs out (also since now they can't get 3 in a row like before thanks to the Edmonton rule).

It's that but it's also that the CFL was resistant to change due to not wanting to risk that it might frustrate the long term fans.

But now the long term fans are aging out and leaving the product anyways.

And they have done nothing at all to really attract anyone under the age of 40 to the CFL product.

Long time reader first time e=ng poster. My favorite part of the draft was the part where edmonton didn't pick in the first round of a super deep draft where san jose could get a guy like musty at almost the second round. Aahhhhh the sweet sound of silence.

It was nice to know that an 18 year old wasn't going to have his life and eternal lineage ruined on draft day.
And barely on day 2 either.

The only humane thing to do is for NHL General Managers to always demand draft picks (and only draft picks) when trading with the Oilers. And under no circumstances should you trade any of your draft picks to the Oilers. It really should be an amendment to the Geneva Convention.

A friendly reminder that the Edmonton Oilers will allocate almost 2 million dollars of their cap space to James Neal this coming season.

As well as next.

Oilers suck

Lucic 35 goals, 48 points post trade
Neal 24 goals 41 points post trade (also a D-bag)
